If only we kept Caldara + Higuain instead of sacrificing them for Ronaldo + Bonucci this would have been guaranteed.

The problem is we may have to offload Higuain. And if no one is interested without one of Caldara or Rugani attached, than we may have to sacrifice one of the two. Perhaps the cost of signing Ronaldo. Who knows.

Bonucci is far better than Luiz by the way.

I think in this case, with how things are reported to have fallen out, the management would definitely get Allegri's approval of this transfer.
