i dont wanna sound like a dick but ronaldo did his job for real..immensly. he and co put real on the map again, did a lot of profit. zidane and ronaldo leaving can be a blessing because they need to rotate to newer hungrier player. i'm not saying ronaldo would not want trophies or keep up the level but 100 mils, a lot of salary space, buying mbappe or kane will keep them going. perez can be upset but even raul was given away..or casillas. it is ronaldo's time now.
yeh i Know, and you are totally right. If i were Perez, i would also let him go and go full force for Mbappe, a star who will be around for a decade, the future. Cristiano has something else to give , we all know that, but Florentino knows real needs to go on and plan a future post cristiano. Commiting huge wages to a player that is old and that has given so much...when he is starting to "decline" is not good business for real madrid. That money is better commited on Mbappe or Neymar.
Ill be objective here, They dont need CR7 anymore as much as we need him. They got 4...FOUR CLs with him, while cementing their spot as the best team in europe. They won millions with him, and millions of fans. Ronaldo gave them what he could.... but trying to squeeze more from him would be unwise, specially with his age and sour relantionship.
The only thing that i think is annoying Perez, is that he knows Ronaldo is the top dog marketing wise, and i think is weird for him to have to let go the darling of world football...even for someone like Mbappe.. who objectively would give them way mor bang for the buck than ronaldo... but is nowhere near the appealing of the CR7.
