I don't understand Khedira extension either. Maybe not lose him for free next year, but is he a starter here this season?

Pjanic getting a new extension is great news, shows we are hopefully trying to keep our key players and showing our willingness to satisfy them. As far as Khedira, I don't think he will be a starter here for much longer but having his experience to fall on if injuries pop up, suspensions, etc is much better than say having Stu fill those gaps. I'm cool with Sami sticking around for another year.

We will probably be spending a lot more money on a midfielder to be a starter so makes more sense to extend a decent midfielders contract rather than have to buy another backup. Next year we can replace him.

Exactly this, plus cavani would fit in so well in Allegri's tactics. His stamina and work rate are ridiculous. I'd happily sell Higgy and get Cavani, but doubt it'll ever happen.

He is worth 40M but 30M is a good price for him and we should go up to this price
Anyway it depends on our market strategy as 25M could be the difference of us buying a really quality player
