I've seen that aswell, a bit surprised that we didn't plan on inserting someone in the deal since the beginning, it might actually be some truth to this rumour afterall and tbf i think this might be the only path through which we could eventually come close to an agreement with Lazio.

It's going to be interesting that's for sure.
It's difficult to insert our players into deals with clubs like Lazio, because our players have high wage overall. If Pjaca, Rugani or Sturaro keep their same wages, they still become top earners for Lazio. Immobile (2.2M) earns less than Lichtsteiner(2,8M) and SMS, renewed in 2017, has the same wages as Sturaro and Pjaca: 1,5M

Well, swap deals never actually happen as per se. It's more about coming to an agreement in terms of valuation of both players and then doing these separately on the books. I think Lazio don't need Pjaca as things stand, they'd have to sell some winger first. It's more journalists guessing at this point than anything else IMO.

If we want SMS we'll have to shell out a lot of money, just like we did with Higuain. Lotito knows we're desperate so he'll just keep waiting. I still think we should (maybe even we will) end up with someone like Kovacic for about ~50m which should be doable for us without sacrificing anyone. What I mean is that you throw in Can + Kovacic into our lineup and we already look so much stronger, we'd need to fill some gaps here and there then. SMS and Pogba are a pipe dream at this point because it's hard to justify spending ~100m on a CM in our situation.

Verratti way better than Pjanic  :howler:
He is
Overrating your own player doesnt really makes him that good...

Pjanic is a player I wanted us to sign before as I rated him highly and I still am but his defensive aspect is indeed horrible!
Verratti as the organizer is far better than him though Pjanic is likely to make more assists!

Reports say Can want to play in front of the defense which means Pjanic would play below his current standart.
SMS I think its on Pjanic's expense
My only worry is that we wont have a top assist man in our team as Pjanic is very good at it..
Can SMS Pogba - probably not possible so the question is what is our plan?!

Got to give it to you, pretty solid point of view.

Another valid point aswell, tho i'd let them worry about that theirselfs if it's the case, the potential cash they'd get should be able to cover for it afterall, but i do have my doubts regarding that possibility aswell.

Juve 'offer €80m for Milinkovic’ | Football Italia

Lazio have reportedly rejected an opening bid of €80m from Juventus for midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Milinkovic-Savic has a valuation closer to €130m, given he still has four years left on his contract.

However, the newspaper notes talks 'have only just begun’ and that Juve could offer players in exchange, while Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United 'remain at the shop window’.

It comes just two days after Aquile President Claudio Lotito claimed the Bianconeri 'couldn’t afford’ the Serbian.

Alessandro Lucci has offered his client Milan Badelj to Juventus, who will soon give a clear answer. Alessandro is also the agent of Perin. (Sportitalia)

So, we offered 80m for SMS and it got rejected. Journalists saying Lazio is interested in Pjaca though...
I Think 100 m + Sturaro and Pjaca (include buy back option for Juve) is a good deal.

Pjaca is so talented but I don't think he can improve a lot at Juve, at Lazio he can be a starter and with Inzaghi's attacking football he can show a lot. giving Pjaca to Lazio with a buy back option for Juve would be a good choice for 3 parties.

no - when was the last team we were "offered" a great player?

I have decided that if it will happen, I will give disclosure of my sources (a few selected ones here, the ones I have met, know already, one has even met one of them as we went to the Stadium together)

Should sell Benatia and Pjanic. And Higuain if we can sign a proper replacement.

All are in their late 20s/early 30s, inconsistent, and are decent but not perfect. Would make sense to replace them on both financial and sporting levels.

If multiple CMs are leaving, Badelj would be a good signing. Good, underrated player. Would be solid backup for free.
I agree regarding Benatia and Higuain. I disagree when it comes to Pjanic, unless it's a ridiculous offer or in exchange for a player of equal or superior quality.
