Très bizarre that anyone would want to sell our best CM. Are we trying to make it so we have to sign an entirely new midfield trio? Because we certainly aren't going to sign 3 midfielders better than Pjanic in a single window.
Matuidi was our most consistent and most important midfielder, the one who made the midfield/team balanced till his injury. What's bizarre is most now seem to have goldfish memory and are placing him in almost Sturaro category while Pjanic, for some reason, is being hailed as an irreplaceable WC player who had a perfect season.

Both were our best CMs last season, but that doesn't say much. Don't confuse technique with quality/performance.

The decision to sell Pjanic should depend on who's available in the market and if they're willing to sign. This mercato seems to have more options than usual.

He was one of our best players last season in our midfield 2 for the last 4 months. Put in a ton of fantastic performances.
Pjanic being good (not one of our best players unless your definition of best is broad) didn't make that midfield balanced. Mandzukic did, barely.

For 80m? I'll ship him myself.

Way too inconsistent, plus, besides above reasons, isn't a good fit for 4231. Ideally, squad this summer should be built for both 433 and 4231.
Then i wonder why Barca and Madrid want him :shifty:

That's a ridiculous statement

Here's something fresh muchacos, right from the Milan restaurant.

Both SMS and Pogba are on the Juve list, but we're in no hurry and waiting for the movement of other clubs to see if there is a chance to land such a player. Marotta is confident it can be done because he knows nobody will offer more then 100 million for either player. Everything Lazio's directors are saying is full of shit and Pogba could even arrive on one year loan (until Mourinho fails and leaves ManU in 2019 - at least that is what both Pogba and Raiola are calculating). By moving to Juve on loan this summer, Pogba would basically say to ManU management: you'll see on June 2019 that I was right and more important for the club.

There's also a much cheaper option and for multiple reasons: Verratti. Juve was working to bring him here since PSG crashed from CL. He misses Italy, doesn't like PSG locker-room (he thinks it's full of idiots) and lacks motivation.

We're also looking at other core Italian players reaching their best age like Darmian and Florenzi.

There's also Romagnoli. I kid you not, Marotta wants to take him on loan with option. Unlike Bonucci that guy is desperate for CL and he wants Juve. We're also willing to wait here because Milan wants straight cash because they are poor like a third world country. But we can wait until August. No hurry.

There was a big offer for Rugani but we have it on stand-by.

Marchisio and Khedira will stay.

There were 4 offers for Sturaro, I kid you not. We will sell or send him on loan with option and counter-option.

Who would people on Tuz rather have SMS or Pogba? Fee and wages aside.
People need to get it straight with this SMS hype. He is a promising good all around midfielder, but he's nowhere Pogba's skill level and talent.

Thanks

also next year revenue to take a hit again from the TV deal and lower CL revenue (4 teams to split)

I reckon a lot of our own players are also on the market ...any ones that can generate accounting profits given our financial loss this year
i.e. cash received greater than book value

I'm thinking benatia, rugani, sandro (if he doesnt sign) , dybala, mandzu, pjanic, costa

or hope beppe can generate enough 10-15m deals by selling cerri, kean etc.
Why you gotta spoil my day like that.

there must be some medical term denominating that condition, inventing fake problems to mask real ones

Since the real problems will catch up later down the line maybe call that condition Down Syndrome?

Who ever let me drive it up her bunnyhole.

Now back to my question. Who is the better LCM Pogba or SMS?
We watched Pogba since he was 19, and SMS just had his first breakout season, how can it be any doubt he is above SMS in general ability?

#PSV Eindhoven are reportedly interested in Moise #Kean and are willing to pay €15-20m, but #Juventus would want to insert a buyback clause (TS)

Add to that, the good midfielders we are linked with aren't exactly good fits for a midfield 2.

Pogba's been horrible when played in 4-2-3-1 for Mou. And had a far more inconsistent and poorer two years than Pjanic.

And SMS is more of an attack minded B2B than a holding mid in a 2. If we play 4-2-3-1 going forward we need a CAM who actually will put in a shift tracking back and supporting midfield. Otherwise play in a 3, and Pjanic is fantastic.

Pjanic-Can-SMS/Pogba would be amazing.
also, in case we're stick to 4-3-something as our main formation, we can't fit more than 3 players in the starting lineup out of dybala, costa, higgy, berna and mandzukic, and as dybala is not a winger, we need to pick one of dybala and higgy on the long run.

and in case we get an other quality mid besides can (which is essential tbh), matuidi and khedira would be relegated to the bench. i don't expect both to accept that role.

btw i consider pellegrini as the most realistic mid purchase, and pogba/sms as some fantasy football. we didn't become an epl club all of a sudden.

Pogba is definitely more proven but judging based on Juve's Pogba and this year's SMS Id say they are both WC!
Pogba is better at attacking and is technically superior but SMS is way better defensive wise
