8 assists is nice but if he isnt that good I see no reason to fall from the mighty A.Sandro to him..
We need defenders who are very good at defending and at least good when attacking - Yes I`d like someone even better but realistic wise and the options available we cant be too picky..
If we sell Mandzukic (and even if not) an attacker will be a good addition so I understand the Martial and Morata rumors..
as for midfield - Can suppose to sign and even if most of you dont rate him, he is probably going to be a starter here and unless we sell Pjanic he will be a starter as well so the question is:
Are we looking to use 4-3-3 as our main formation?! (or at least use it like this season)..
If we do it means we need someone strong to partner Pjanic and Can which provides 3 names:
1. Pogba - If SMS does goes to Man Utd it could mean Pogba will be considered as a possible sale
2. SMS - No need to say much - He is basically the one we should go for if you take all our needed characteristics..
3. Verratti - He is strong when trying to get possession but he isnt strong physically which could be problematic when facing a physically strong team + He is injured quite a lot - Probably not worth the investment...
So we basically need one SMS or Pogba with the former better defensively + less flashy, he would suit us better as Real Barca PSG are more into the flashy players...
Both will give a massive boost to our midfield though..

Because I want (we need) a midfielder that can push the ball forward and keep our attack pressing instead of the slow shit we have now with Matuidi/Khedira. MV has an eye for over the top balls to the attack, something else we need now that we have pace on the wings (even better if we get a pacey striker like Morata).
Bad temperament? Meh. That can be an issue but we did fine and survived with Montero/Iuliano, right? We didn't collapse. Not a reason to not sign a top class CM like MV. All our players are always injured, hell, we seemingly break players that never had injury records before coming here so it doesn't make a difference to me.

I have nor problems with Verrati coming because i have always rated the player, as a grteat technical ball playing midfielder, which is totally the opposite of Matuidi the football Killer. -Can comes at insane wages but the transfer is free so we lose little money this summer for him.
-Darmian seems to be a sure buy because Max wants and most likely he will be our starter on the Left side. maybe we will convert Chiello to LB for half a season until Spinazzola recovers? We can use Benatia, Caldara, Rugani and Barzagli as CBs meanwhile. Cuadrado, MdS and Barzagli(just for low tier serie A teams) as RB.
In summary, the move that will most likely demand most of our budget will most likely be the 2nd midfield signing. We must spend that wisely and commit funds if necessary (for example if the boards rates SMS)

For realz. People is talking about Verrati like if he was some random hopeless midget from serie B.
When he is not getting red cards or injured...the guy is head and shoulders an upgrade to Matuidi , who can barely run with a ball, and Khedira... who nowadays wants to be a 9 instead of a midfielders (wants nothing to do with the build up or recovering).
One of the most talented italian midfielders, whose career took a nosedive by going to PSG (which is a career sinker for top players).
We are partly at blame for that because Beppe didnt paid the money when his agent offered him to us (alrtho we were stacked at the time...but anywways).

MV didn't have his best season at PSG, they were not very impressed with his performances, they also said that he developed and reached his peak too early, now he's nothing but a decent CM.

We'll have to match the asking price and then his wages which would leave us out of the race. Also, apparently his agent, Kezman (past Chelsea player) is a fan/friend of Mourinho and he's working on moving his client to Manchester.
Honestly if we don't get SMS, which is very likely, we should go for Isco or at least try.

Careful with SMS, he has all the ability in the wolrd but he is slow. SMS, Pjanic, Can, Higuain will be slow as hell. Elite all around player are rare, and if we can't play to the strenght of a player, better don't sign him. We signed best hit man in the league in Higuain and we hinder both him and Dybala's perfomance.
If we are intent on the 4-4-2, then there would be better options. But honestly, it takes a monster CM to play in our 4-4-2. Basically Saul Niguez.
Can he play CM in our 4-4-2 better than every single current option including Pjanic? Yes.
Can he play with Pjanic in a 4-3-3? Also yes, for me. I think Pjanic regista and Verratti as B2B, but not as advanced as the 3rd CM, is a good situation. Verratti is not amazing in the final 3rd so I would prefer him to cede the runs for the 3rd CM, of which we currently have none.
Can or Pellegrini wouldn't be good enough for that. Bernardeschi would but it'll never happen.

Did you watch Verratti play this season? Are you really comparing Savic to MV, based on this season?
Sorry but your comparison doesn't stand. If you compare both players based on their performances this season, I would call Verratti mediocre and SMS a super rising star. They don't even have the same playing style, you can compare SMS to Pogba, Rakitic, Isco but not Verratti who is slow, hot headed and physically weak, even his passing has deteriorated massively the last couple of years, I think even Pjanic is better than the current Verratti.
If I was Marotta and I had a 100-120 million to splash on one player, I'd go for SMS, balls deep.
