Martial>Morata

Morata is far too weak as a person to be a reliable goal scorer, if he has tied his shoe laces wrong it will affect his game

He misses so many sitters at Chelsea it's worrying how someone of his talent can be total crap in front of goal

He has bundles of talent but he is simply not reliable to get you the goals when you need them, he suited RM because he would come on as a sub when the other team was tired or he would start against the minnows to give other players rest he is not starter material at a club like Juve

Agent: 'Real Madrid star could move to Juve' :seven:

08 May at 11:10
The agent of Real Madrid star Luka Modric has revealed that the Croatian could move to Serie A giants Juventus.

The 32-year-old Modric joined Real Madrid from Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2012 and has become a vital player for the Los Blancos after struggling in his first full season. This season, the midfielder has appeared 24 times in the La Liga, scoring once and assisting five times.

In an interview that Modric's agent- Marko Naletelic gave to Tuttosport, he revealed that Modric can join Juventus in the future and they have the chance of signing him out of all the teams in the Serie A. He said: "It will depend on the economic potential of Serie A clubs.

"I've known Modric for a long time: he grew up with Boban as an idol and as a kid he watched all the Italian league games. Its never say never in football.

"If after Real Madrid, Modric decided to close his career, but at the moment he cannot afford any club, maybe only Juventus. But certainly for the Bianconeri he would be the ideal man to strengthen the midfield ".

Well, just today I read from BBC sport that Mourinho has approved Juve as a buyer for Martial. The only other club outide of PL is Bayern, and they don't seem interested after all.
Rather sell him to Juve for €50m then Chelsea for €70m, is the logic here.

His contract is running out next year, and the player has not signed a new deal as he appears to want out.

We need a LW with Madzu leaving.
On transfermarkt it's reported they have an additional one-year clause, so not quite running out.

City interested in 50m pounds deal for Matthijs de Ligt from Ajax.

FFS, are these people ever going to stop spending and why would the kid want to go there? City invested 200m pounds in defense in the last 2 years and don't seem bothered to stop. I would love to get this kid even for mad money though, he would be special.

They do, but I guess its tied with appearances or some other details. Either way if he stays his value will certainly drop, unless he benches Sanchez. Mou would look stupid twice over and he would never allow it.

Ok easy translation
1st list of names is who is staying and the percentage of their stay

Last list of names is whose coming and the percentage of that happening

I remember the same being said for Van Persie when he was about to move away from Arsenal. In the end -and as usual- money talked. He too had one year left on his contract.

We might need a LW or we might not with Pjaca coming back and possibly a formation other than 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 being played. But we'd definitely need a backyp ST if Mandzu leaves.

If its for more than 30M I would pass as he is already 32

Morata is coming for 15M with an option for additional 45M is a great deal
That being said Martial is a great player as well...
The thing is - LW position - Martial is the obvious choice even if Morata can add something Martial cant which is his physique..
CF position its Morata.
The things about these two are:
Morata can play LW and CF which could help us when Higuain is too slow and doesnt help much as a result
Martial can also play CF but not as effective and therefore I doubt he`ll play much in the CF position leaving us with Higuain alone (and Dybala when we decide to play him there)

I just don't see Morata being worth that sort of money, my worries are he is incredibly inconsistent and mentally weak

Martial in my opinion is a better deal for us if they are going to cost similar money

I like Morata but his time here has gone and he's simply not good enough in my opinion to be a Juve player for the sort of money we will have to pay

I would rather take Martial on a permanent deal than Morata with the option to buy and the loan fee

A lot of talk of Morata being mentally weak, but he has scored quite a bit for us in the Champions League. I wish the rest of our squad was "mentally weak" like that. He "struggled" in the league if anything, I think this comes down more to motivation than anything.

Yes he did, even in a final. So weak.

His second season here and current season at Chelsea are more recent than that one good season he had mainly for Tevez giving him a lot of assists in the CL as well

Morata scored twice in the semis and in the final... While being 22..
We didn't even have wingers back then.. Ogbonna, pereyra, evra and so on were still playing..

For the right price I'd welcome him back with open arms..

Ahaha all these talks.

Morata, Martial, pogba, SMS, modric, Can....looks like we are going for the champs league seriously next year.

But then again, this is Juve. A business built on sustAinability and Italian pussility. We will most probably get Morata only.

And probably sell Dybala, and then sign montolivio AKA weakling of the universe, for free.

In: Martial, SMS and secure Can. End of Mercado. Save money on new Rb by moving Cuads to that position.

Out: Asamoah, Manbro, Khedira, Lichtensteiner, Buffon and perhaps Stuaro.

Keep: Everyone else including Dybi and AS.

We will be worse off in Rb from a defensive point of view, but massively improved in attack and especially midfield.

Realistic: of course not. SMS + Martial would easily cost 150M combined + high wages and we will be lucky to get a total of 40M in sales.

Would I sacrifice Dybi, if we could get those mentioned guys? IMO, yes due to the fact that without a better midfield, the attack is more or less useless, and Dybi does not fit in a 4-3-3 - assuming we will primarily play that formation next year, or at least with Pjanic in a 3-man midfield with two workhorses around him.
