The little I've seen, yes. Lots of potential. But I'm guessing we're not the only ones interested, it'd take some money to get him.
He have a release clause? :beppe:

- - - Updated - - -

Obviously pellegrini though he still needs to improve plus he can play any role in the midfield
I agree. Look, I'm not saying no to other midfield reinforcements, but a deal on Verratti is sorta hard to say no to :D

- - - Updated - - -

He doesn't seem that promising tbh. He doesn't score enough goals for a forward :D
He is only 17 :D

Pellegrini and Cristante are decent, but are nowhere near Pogba level.
But even in pogba case he became a complete midfielder after joining juve

Verratti will cost us a lot of money if we have that sort of money why wouldn't we bid for SMS we need to take a chance on both pellegrini and Cristante

I think SMS is gonna cost more than Verratti. But I won't complain if we sign SMS :D

One article I read said 50m release clause.
No way Beppe would pay that lol

Pogba's talent and physicality were there before he joined us; he's on a completely different level. Even if these two improve, they will never reach those levels. I don't trust Italian talents tbh. This generation are quite mediocre compared to generations past.

Most important thing is to find new coach. I love what Allegri has done, but its clear to anyone that he is finished here. He makes vital players suffer too much with his tactics and lack of attacking-plans. He plays Dybala out of position and cant help the 2 super forwards to gel. I think he is the reason Alex Sandro is depressed and want out.

It doesnt matter that he made mandzukic a winger. That doesnt make you a genius when You have a coach, who just let the team improvise and have no idea what to do when we move forward.

He failed to fit bernardeschi, bentancur, rugani into the team, and keeps playing khedira and sturaro ahead of marchisio. Its blasphemy. And when the injuries stack up we lost the energy.. and have players who doesnt come near their great talent cuz lack of playtime.

I want to rather keep Dybala and let Allegri go. I dont want fancy football cuz it wont happen. I want good, tactical, pressing, cynical and a machinelike team once again.

People have been fawning all over Bentancur and his completely average or even mediocre performances.

Pellegrini has looked a hell of a lot better imo.

Let's be honest. Our midfield has been incredibly inconsistent, and even our "best midfielder" goes missing more often than not. We can't really blame Bentancur, and he's still only 20, when those around him aren't great either.

At least we are building a young team and not a retirement home.

SMS would be ideal though, obviously.
I want a strong team though

Torreira to Napoli collapses?
By Football Italia staff

Lucas Torreira’s move to Napoli appears to have collapsed, as his agent confirms “I’m talking to other clubs”.

The Sampdoria midfielder looked set to join the Partenopei in the summer, with the Neapolitans ready to pay the €25m release clause in his contract.

However, his representative spoke on Radio Crc today, and appeared to suggest that the deal has collapsed.

“There was a basic agreement with Napoli,” Pablo Bentancur confirmed.

“However, due to a timing problem I’m talking to other clubs. Everyone takes his own path.”

The agent’s comment about timing may indicate that Torreira was supposed to replace Jorginho, whose own agent has confirmed there will be no talks over his future before the end of the season.

I wouldn't be satisfied with those two as midfield reinforcements. They will not improve our midfield and will be used in rotation. I think our scouts need to do a better job of identifying players in South America and Eastern Europe. Since we can't afford the big names, let's try and get someone who has the potential to become one (like we did with Pogba and Vidal). Unfortunately, it seems Beppe has been resting on his laurels scraping the barrel, looking for freebies, and cheap(er) Italian talents.

IMO we'd be idiots to sell AS and / or Dybala this season, on a discount because of the bad season they had, at least in the 2nd half of it. They are both great talents, great qualities, their knowledge of football is still there. They need a new coach / game approach / tactics / teammates to reach their top level again.

Keep AS and Dybala.
Spinazzola and DS are good / very good backups
Get a proper RB
CM - get a mid who can work up with ball at his feet, fast, good passing and technique. Pjanic could also be played more forward
CM - get a player who can press, make a sliding tackle, win a header, keep possession under pressure, someone with grinta, attitude. I thought Matuidi would do better here but he kinda disappointed
ST - get a striker who plays central now that Mandzu is leaving but needs to be starting 11 quality, not Zaza-like or Batshuayi-like

I think it's time for a new coach. Someone who'll push the players forward, change gameplan as winning 1-0 and then go to energy-save more is just stupid at this level. Playing beautiful football gets you the result, 95% of the time and it gets you more money in the end thru sponsors, merch sales, tickets sold and so on. Playing beautiful football doesn't mean you compromise the result.

No he didnt. Berna would have gotten more and more minutes as the season goes on, if it wasn't for his injury. Rugani not getting enough playing time is just a funny myth at this point. Bentancur even started against Real Madrid and is gonna get the exact same treatment as all the other young players under Max, which has proven to work just fine.

Berna: 730 minutes played
Rugani: 1576 minutes played
Bentancur: 530 minutes played

Those numbers aren't bad at all, gotta keep in mind the competition they face. Two of them (Rugani and Bentancur) didn't really scream "play me more" with their performances and are inferior to their competition, yet still get minutes and will continue to get them if Max thinks they have what it takes to become a great player.

Marchisio (640 minutes) is probably just finished. No blasphemy whatsoever.

This pisses me off. It's actually quite the opposite, it's blasphemy putting a player before the club not the other way around. We (I assume) support Juventus not the players, despite given legend status.
