An agreement has been reached, a signature has arrived and an official announcement is probably slated for Monday, when Aurelio De Laurentiis returns from China. The deal was finalized this morning in a meeting between Elseid Hysaj, his agent Mario Giuffredi and Napoli management, specifically the directors Giuntoli and Chiavelli. The Albanian defender has signed a new contract with De Laurentiis' club: 5 years plus an option for 1 more, with a salary of 1.4 million euros annually - Hysaj left his contract of 650 thousand euros - which was to rise to a total of 2.5 million in the 6th year (he earned 500 thousand for 4 years). Within his new contract, there is a release clause set at 50 million euros, which is valid only for foreign clubs. An agreement reached as Hysaj is set to continue his journey at Napoli, as his future will remain painted blue. @GianMARCalciO

Is Hysaj's release clause only for non-Serie A teams?

Also if its not, do you think he is worth 50m?
Worth 50M is a question that is based on the market
5 years ago Hysaj would have been worth half that amount but market is on constant inflation so Hysaj not only worth 50M but in a few years he could be worth even more...

Bale for example cost Real around the 100M figure and if they are to sell him they would be getting a similar amount despite back then when he was considered as a hot product and now he is more of a has been in the eyes of many people..
Benzema cost Real 35M Euros - Should he now be playing for Lyon and asking for a bigger club the price would have been doubled.. so its only a question of which market you are looking at..
Coutinho in the market of 5 years ago would barely etch the 40M mark.. yet he went to Barca for 160M...

This is his salary?! Napoli are lucky that Hysaj is not smart enough to ask at least 3M... 50M defender is definitely a 3M per season player

I wonder how is possible that many good players in Napoli keep going with such low wages while ours always seek a better wage ........

Without going too much into it, i'd just point out that it probably all starts with our players being multiple reigning champions, whereas Napoli's aren't...

But anyway, we talking about totally different pedigrees here.

Not worth it if you ask me.

I guess Napoli has the best advisors for other business opportunities for the players and their families. Just a brief biography of the owners shows you that they have a lot of businesses and some extra cash to clean.

another average player? no thanks we have enough sturaros and rincons here.
Lanzini can dribble, pass and finish. Don't compare him to Sturaro.

When I watched him against Italy, I thought that Lanzini had something that our team is missing. He can dribble from deep and create. His workrate is also very good and won the ball back several times.

Hopefully West Ham get relegated so Beppe can get him cheap.

Darmian looked like a solid player before UTD. Did well for Torino and Italy. We wanted him here but UTD took him. Could very well be a talented player that we can unlock the way we did with Barzagli. UTD has recently broken so many talents like Di Maria & Falcao & Mikhitarian... and so far Sanchez and Pogba have not been working there as well. Even Shaw could do better and is criminally underused. This is a broken club.. I wouldnt hold it against Darmian too much.

But I do realize he could be like a Depay, or that winger kid that now disappeared who I cant remember his name.

you are right. We were all wanting him here before he went to ManU, so for sure he is still the ame great player but is has been poisoned by that team

Solid, as Hist said, is more like it.

Not sure about the Barzagli comparison though. Barza has always been a good player.

My problem with Darmian is that he offers basically nothing going forward. He is solid and dependable defensively, but a fullback for a club like Juventus should be a two-way monster like prime Lichtsteiner.

I would’t mind him as a squad player, but we need a better starter.

Sidibe would be good.
