De Vrij would be a very good signing as a free agent nonetheless

I hope we are in for him and able to convince him to join Juve
Good signing? He would cost at least 5 million/season and he would liekly be 4th choice. Isolated a good signing, yes. In the bigger picture a redundant signing. Signing him would only makes sense if Allegri wants to go back to a 3-man backline.

Well Barza and Chiellini are very close to retirement

De Vrij would increase competition and be a good addition to any team never mind just Juventus

If we signed De Vrij and it meant Barzagli doesn't feature too often then I would be fine with that

We can't miss out on opportunities to add quality players to the squad when available as a free agent especially

On a 4 year contract he would only be costing us 40 million in total still a good piece of business with high wages

next season i see the pecking order as chiellini - benatia - caldara - barzagli ...and then it depends whether we sell rugani or buy howedes

Why on earth should we sell Rugani? I'm confident the management sees a future Juve starter in him.

Pecking order next year in my view: Chiellini, Benatia, Rugani, Caldara, (Barzagli).

Don't you get it? We have a budget. Allocated a certain amont of ressources. Right now you are suggesting spending a significant part of our salary bill on a 4th/5th choice centreback for 4-man backline. Furthermore we don't lack competition among our CB's, it's the only position where we have respectable depth+left back and goalkeeper.

That's all the while we need a right back, two central midfielders and arguably soem offensive firepower (striker/winger depending on the system).

Tare is saying that when Juventus/Marotta conduct business i.e. talk to players they wanna sign, they inform the respective clubs even if the players are 'out of contract', that they are in talks with the player/agent. Tare indirectly then says that he haven't heard from Marotta or heard that we aren't interested and that's why he knows De Vrij isn't coming to Juventus.

Calling De Vrij world class :howler: He's a good player. But world class is top 10 at a position or thereabout. De Vrij is not top 10.
:klin: Give me your top 10 Bruh :D

yeah, that's what should've happened the last 2 summers, but somehow it still hasn't happened. the CM market seems to be very thin the past few years with RM signing all the guys we should be looking at even if they don't need them
Well, we also needed huge reinforcements upfront and that has happened. Half empty or half full depending on how you look at it.

He's a free player that adds quality to the backline

True we may not necessarily need him next season but he is a solid option to have and can make his way into a starter for us as he has quality

He will cost us about 10 million in wages for one season, not exactly a whole lot for a club like Juve

I think he would be a good addition

Top of my head. Defenders from Serie A I think are better (I would prefer to) De Vrij:

Chiellini
Rugani
Benatia
Koulibaly
Skriniar
Romagnoli
Bonucci

That's seven just from Serie A.

Even add Caldara to that list.
Chiellini, Benatia (the current version), Bonucci, and Koulibaly I can agree on.

Skriniar, Caldara, and Rugani have a bit more to prove before I can put them ahead of De Vrij.

Yeah, well. That's minor details tho. De Vrij is headed for Premier League. We don't need him and the money is better spent on a midfielder (Can ) :D

I'm not saying the management is some kind of a disaster, they're still doing good deals most of the time, I just think that if they neglected it for 2 years, I wouldn't get my hopes up for the third one :D
