Florenzi would be a huge improvement on the RB/RWB position for sure.
Comfortably better than De Sciglio but he's an impossible signing anyway.

I’d like him but why impossible? I get the feeling MDS will be our starter but I do want someone better. I also think our midfield issue is the elephant in the room that will take much of our resources so maybe in that sense it will be impossible so you’re probably right. MDS is great for backup. Doing fine this season so far.

So you want a guy that isn’t a natural RB to play over an actual RB because of energy and crosses?:D

    Impetus - good word choice
He is a better player, he is a natural midfielder, but he is BETTER then De Shittio at RB or anything else football related, expect height or staying back at all times holding hands with your CBs.

Florenzi is one of those guys whos versatility has been a bane to his career (not attacking enough for right wing forward role, strong enough for CM role, not natural defensive type for FB etc, even if latter it what suits him best), he can play too many ways that coaches havent bothered to find him a specific role most of his career, but he has done good at RB because he is energizer bunny runner who exploits overlapping space and since he is a midfielder has quite good passing and crossing. He is essentially a CM but he is too slight/weak and not overly great dribbler/technical (for midfield standards, for RB standards its very good) in small paces so he more of became a jack of all trades. His crossing and shooting is his best assets besides excellent runs, tenacious pressing tackler too.
