We have had our hearts broken before with transfers. You can't blame anyone if they feel apprehensive about this.

Of course, the overwhelming majority of people here want CR7. He clicks every single box that are available, on a financial, economic, sporting sense. Everything. He is on the Mt. Rushmore of the greatest to ever do it, and despite his age, he is in incredible shape, and he works his ass off.

But yes, if we miss out on him, this one will hurt unlike any of the others that we have been upset over, that quite frankly, don't deserve to even be in the conversation. If we miss out on him, the heartbreak will be real.

...in more than one way, perhaps. :)

Exactly.

How can one even compare missing out on the likes of RVP, Aguero and Draxler to missing out on the GOAT.

And the irony in all of this is that out of all the seemingly far fetched transfers for this club, THIS ONE seems the most attainable.
Indeed. Because we’re dealing with a real man who has one agent not a whole pack of hungry wolves. Most of the others turned us down for money and out of greed. Ronaldo can go anywhere else if he wanted to and for a bigger salary than what we’re offering. You can tell the man is still hungry for challenges and titles, he has one thing to prove: the legitimacy of being called the GOAT.
