How come?

I see.
You know milan were after a forward that summer, so they didn't sign Tevez and bought matri instead, thank you for proving my point

unless we get any of sms and pogba (won't happen), this is beppe's biggest miss since forever. fabinho is a hell of a player, he's been on my wishlist since we played monaco en route to max's first cl final.

oh fuck, beppe, good old pal, you only had one job since vidal left.
THIS

beppe will have no problems parting 30 mill for bonaventura though...

given fabinho is can's replacement at pool (since they serve the same purpose...DMish and can play fullback) ...

...would you rather fabinho for 50m or can for free?

how's fabinho's wages? if can earns like 6m net per year, he'd cost around 60m for 5 years, plus his agent's fee - not a cheapo player by any means.

finances aside, i'd pick fabinho over basically any other cm. he'd be a perfect fit to pjanic. or he might have been.

anyway, let's move on, we have a 30m pellegrini on his way :beppe:

because both are more 6's than 8's or 10's

as it stands we have pjanic/marchisio/bentancur already for the 4/6 and only matuidi/khedira/sturaro for the 8's
And what's the necessity in the comparison ? Its pretty obvious we'd need another quality midfielder besides Can. You're talking as if both transfers are correlated(for us).

i expect fabinho would be on similar wages...so still half the cost

yes they are correlated because they are players of a similar profile....what the team needs right now are the 8's and 10's and hence why people are discussing the pogba's/sms/kovacic/pellegrini/bonaventura etc.

Always fascinating when a club signs a top-player out of nowhere, hours after first being seriously linked with them. Great deal for Liverpool to get Fabinho for 50m.
