I think in this case Dai is suggesting Caldara has a greater physicality and meanness to his game than Rugani, which is rarer in young defenders. Rugani is one of the least mistake-prone young defenders I have watched recently, his anticipation and reading of the game is fantastic, but he could use a little more aggressiveness at times.
Rugani is very promising but something still missing in his game
Caldara plays for Atalanta and never really played on the big stage so its hard to judge him but he seems very promising

Are those two great enough for our defense is the question here as Juve and defense is like Real or Barca with attackers - We usually have the best there
I expected Rugani to take over as a starter but he hasnt done so yet as Allegri prefers Benatia and for now its more than just justified..
Hell Allegri even prefers Barzagli over him..

Rugani is double the player atm then bonucci was at 23 yrs old. He will develop into the best in the world but it will take time. italian CBs fluorish at an older age

Calling Allegri an idiot now? :sergio: :p
Of course not, but just pointing out the flaws with that argument. Take Ventura for example; a piss poor excuse of a coach. Perhaps had the players questioned him more, Italy would have been participating in the World Cup, instead of the players watching the games from the comfort of their sofas.

Allegri has done a wonderful job, but he's far from perfect; getting owned by Madrid twice should be an indication of that.

I'm just teasing you, my dear boy.

I agree with you. I think people far overblow poor reactions to being subbed off, etc. Of course Dybala isn't leading some inane mutiny against Allegri, and there is nothing at all wrong with occasional outbursts of emotion when things are going shit.

Milenkovic Savic
"It's certainly a figure well over €80-90m, in any case. Sergej is very important to us and has not yet reached his peak. There are always more players who can be found and developed.
"I want it to be clear, Lazio have never set a price-tag or asked anything for Milinkovic. We received offers more or less on that level last summer, but they were not taken into consideration

De Vrij
Netherlands international De Vrij confirmed his intention to leave Lazio in February and Tare added: "I hope that De Vrij can give his best for Lazio to the end, as he has done so far.
"Let's just say there's a very good possibility he could go to Inter."

:howler: So, if your boss is an idiot you just shut up and accept it? Come on man. Players should question the coach, and the coach should encourage constructive criticism.
Except Allegri is not an idiot. As far as Ventura-likes go - still no. Because if one guy does it then everyone starts doing it. And then again you have a problem with too many voices and disagreement between players. Shut up and play, there's other ways to go about it than undermining the coach.

Yes he did - He was instrumental for our campaign in his last year in which he sucked at the start as he got a "stage fright" but then he got the confidence and the focus to carry us to another scudetto
Man Utd bought him for 120M and I can say it wasnt inflated as he is worth that sum IMO
Man Utd complaining?! look at his stats - despite him "not delivering" he actually does deliver..
Dybala is delivering but didnt get to the status we need him to be at - I can say Pogba did reach the status we needed but then left us..

You are right - I remember Bonucci being very prone to mistakes and I remembered the forum "laughing at him" but then he grew up and became WC
In terms of defending there is hope I guess but Bonucci has something that he always had and Rugani will probably never have - Im talking about playmaking skills and great technique for a defender
I hope Caldara and Rugani step up next season and give Allegri a selection headache..

Didnt expect a good post from someone who shares the same nation as Poulsen..

Are you forgetting our CL title in 2015-16 already? :shifty:
1. He didnt win the CL but we went out against a stronger Bayern (and dont forget the ref who disallowed a perfectly good goal by Morata)
2. Carry us isnt just about CL - In the league he got us from not performing to Scudetto winners

I hope that the dream scenario of Pogba coming back will happen just for you non believers see how important he was and how important he will be

I think we arent to far away from being back elite again. But I do think that we need some form of clarity in wether we will play 3 in the middle or play more of this 4-2-3-1 / 4-4-2 Hybrid. I think the best and cheapest way to make our squad better is to get real quality rb and probably a LB if Sandro leaves. Should be done easily as well as wrap up Can deal and our squad looks better already and then we can focus on the "big"player if we can. Or the sneaky good player like a Costa type

Nainggolan is more realistic than SMS, who will cost 100m+ (Probably more if lotito sells domestically)

Nainggolan is tired of losing, hence him softening on juve. Plus a bunch of his friends play here (benatia, Pjanic for example)

Sandro money + Sturaro to lazio = Milinkovic to juve

60m is his release clause. Doesn't mean we'd pay that much, and pointing out he can play RB isn't the same thing as saying we'll sign him.

But I think we'll sign someone similar. We're linked to Ginter too. Both can play CB & RB, are tall and good in the air and good with the ball, and can play middle of back-3 (all things we can use). Just like Howedes. Allegri also has a penchant for playing Barzagli at RB. Gimenez and Ginter can also play CDM.

Don't expect us to sign an overlapping FB. It'll be a conservative RB type with MDS as the less conservative alternative with the LB playing a more attacking/overlapping role. Similar to zona mista, which Allegri seems to like. At the same time, this player will also address set pieces and passing from the back issues.
^ Add Sokratis to the list.

Maybe a CB will be sold too, who knows.

If anything, the likes of Sokratis and Cristante would probably be great additions for Lazio to replace SMS/DeVrij with...
