You're expecting Tottenham to win the title next to other teams? Even when they were 2nd it was a surprise. But yes, they currently don't need new signings really, they are strong. They are not the elite level, though.
Also, why compare Liverpool with us? THey are just a 4-6th place team for years not. They are not even important to begin with.
Real doesn't need Lewandowski. Their current team is totally fine and beyond that, they are just TOO GOOD while they also signed some amazing kids.
Why wouldn't they try to win it? They've been close third year in a row. They have money, if they refuse to reinforce they're risking that somebody will overtake them. I could name at least three positions on which they could reinforce even if I'm not watching them too often.
I mentioned Liverpool because it's a club with similar spending power and an ambitious one (well, at least they try). They clearly need reinforcements yet they only bought Sala who's not a world beater either.
Real has dominated the CL lately but their style is far from being dominant. Even this year they eliminated Bayern in very controversial circumstances. They need to reinforce because they're risking getting caught by other teams. Especially now they have so much money to spend why don't they use them to strengthen already strong team? What other use can they find for the Morata money? Fighting hunger in Africa? I know shit about the kids they signed. Llorente played in some provincial team in LaLiga. Ceballos did good at Euro but Spain had no competition there. Also, I heard he's a lunatic. The left back humiliated himself at the presentation. Not too impressive for world's second richest club.
My point is that you bash Juve for signing Bernardeschi, Costa, Szczesny, MDS, Bentancur while other teams can only dream of such mercato. It seems like the market is hard to operate in and Juve is doing relatively good in it.
