Really, when we moved for Vidal, Pogba, Pirlo and Tevez you were impressed right on? Because the first two where far from established players and many thought that the last two had their best years behind them. That's the beauty of Marotta's work, he knows which players you're going to love even before you love them.

But I honestly fear that he'll get it wrong one summer, we keep changing so much every summer and it might just happen that suddenly our gambles don't pay off and we fall back a few years
I was really impressed with Pirlo since I know what kind of player he is,I watched Leverkusen games so ,yes I was impressed with Vidal transfer too.I wasn't aware of the Pogba quality but since I first saw him I was impressed and I hailed Marotta. Not to mention Tevez.I just know that he will be awesome here.Mancini a.k.a pussy and Conte are not the same,so I just know that he will be a big success here.
With the second part of the post I agree in full.

im obsessed with everyone who thinks paying 4m less for a player is some kind of massive difference
It isn't at all a massive difference when you are buying a champion and about a 50 mil.deal.But for DS and 12 mil price is an awful big difference .

Sending someone on a 1-year loan is useless for a team like Atalanta. If he does well, he's taken away immediately. If he doesn't, well... Shite for them.

So sending someone away for 2 years is almost certainly a better option. We don't need Cldara now and we won't need Orsolini sooner. We bought DC and we'll add Bernardeschi as well; we're settled.
Can you really guarantee we won't need him next year? Circumstances regularly change.
If we gave the option to buy with the counter buy back as we've already done with Atalanta they would still gladly take him. It's not like they are flowing with cash or player options even if they did finish 4th last year.

AND sold Kessié for a bunch of money. They could easily do without a player who hasn't played a single Serie A match and Orsolini is not the mould we would have to bring in after one season of Serie A... Even Dybala wasn't. Realism and Tuz are two opposites.

Why does @Mark have a flight schedule from Peking?

We're not taking Hernanes back, are we? That's all I would need to push me over the edge
