Would be interesting if Morata goes to Chelsea. The numbers indicate Lukaku is the much better striker, but my gut tells me it's closer than people might think.

Lukaku is nothing special, just a big guy who can finish, big downgrade on Ibra. On oyher hand Morata is incosistent as fuck. He scores winners in big matches but is not reliable in every game. He is a cup games player for me and he also usually plays worse when he gets to start the game rather than coming off the bench.

Anyway its quite pathethic that Mourinho pays fortune for a guy he rejected before. Also i wouldnt like to be a united fan as another Pogba buddy is joining them, their season will probably end up in dabbing fest of some other bullshit.

>complains about settling for other teams' rejects
>complains about missing out on a Real Madrid reject in the next sentence

Okay then.
James is on another level than DC, ~1 year younger and more versatile. He isn't the first one who doesn't spark in Real and becomes great afterwards.

How can you miss out on someone you weren't interested in the first place?
We're interested in wingers / AMC, hence DC & Bernie links and so on. Just because we didn't contact the club / player does not mean we weren't interested in him.

Except of course, he scored 25 goals last season, while Ibra only scored 17. Also, the general attitude in the press towards Ibra was that maybe he still scored a lot of goals, but he was detrimental to Utd's playing style. Some journalists even went as far as to say the players themselves preferred Rashford.

Obviously a 24 year old Zlatan was a much better player than the 24 year old Lukaku. But Zlatan is 35 now.

In what terms he is on another level? Maybe in some beauty contest. One year younger is a truly significant factor. He showed nothing in Real and last season players like Isco and Asensio were preferred to him. I believe he will cost around 80mln while Costa 40. Plus, Costa is a winger while James is ACM. We are in a dire need for wingers while we already have Dybala for ACM.

James EASILY over Costa, not even close.

Tho yeah James is not a winger, tho he can be good there, just not his ideal position.

Morata will score more in CL. I would bet on that.
What if Chlesea somehow fail to qualify?!
In any case I see Morata and Lukaku as two very different kind of players..
Morata is more about speed and technique, is more of a player that helps the team building attacks while Lukaku is more the give him the ball to finish moves
Finishing and headers wise Lukaku is better than Morata
Lukaku is also a monster in terms of physique while Morata isnt weak himself..
Morata can dribble, hold the ball, is actually quite a fast player and is super clutch
Who is better?! Id say it depends on your team`s needs... I personally would rather have Morata than Lukaku even though in Serie A I see Lukaku as a leading candidate to be the top scorer...
