Transfer fees should abolished. Work only with contracts and give more freedom to clubs and players.
That's part of what transfer fees are really. You can't really buy a player. He's not property. It's not like you buy a house. Essentially you buy the other club into foregoing the contract they had with the player.

Yeah in a way fees are like that. But it is not completely transparent as with American sports where you trade contracts. Clubs still have a degree of ownership over players with the transfer rights between associations.

Yeah, I agree. But my point is that it's not so easy to simplify these things.

Juventus want to earn €50m from the sales of #Lemina #Rincon #Sturaro #Lichtsteiner and #Asamoah (TS)
Lemina and Rincon r the only players we can sell easily. The others would be a very hard task to do

- - - Updated - - -

Lemina and Sturaro alone should get you that. but since Stu is staying, its gonna be Lemina 30, Rincon 10, Asamoah 10 and Licht 0
U r overrating everyone there. Lemina isn't gonna cost that much, Rincon and Asa more like 8m, Litch and Stu would go for free or for loan so very hard to get 50m for all of them

So we can't affort class A players so we need to settle for other team's rejects...this puts DC deal into perspective. Missing out on Sanchez was understandable given his wage demands but James is another thing.

>complains about settling for other teams' rejects
>complains about missing out on a Real Madrid reject in the next sentence

Okay then.
