@Dostoevsky the club basically confirmed 4-2-3-1 for next season, we're after wingers and a cm to use in that formation, and we have 5 very good central defenders. it doesn't make sense at all - unless bonucci is getting sold (or rugani loaned out). both would be horrible choices if pepe was supposed to be the replacement for either of these.

pepe is a worthy benatia replacement, if anything.

You make it sound too easy. Are you aware how many teams would bid and offer him skyhigh wages? :D

But yeah, I think we'd be in a good spot, considering our GK history. Still... would be tough as hell to bid, especially if rumors are true and if his new wages are gonna be 6mln/season. New club should offer even more, which is kinda crazy at this point. We're not in a good spot to compete with 7+mln wages.

If Bentancur does get the spot, then yes, if we sell Neto to Valencia then we'll have another EU spot available.
Tbh, Its idiotic Milan offer him those wages. They are simply repeating past mistakes.

Watch them crumble under wages soon, when others renew and take that as the new benchmark

:boh: I don't believe anything at this point. Our mercato is a huge question mark, I think we're still waiting for something, and God, I hope that isn't Sandro's sale.

IMO they are doing this only in order to sell him and earn money. If it wasn't the case then he'd be gone for 0 next year. This way they can spend 12mln on him for one year, and then sell him in the worst case for 50mln, which is still a (big) profit.

However, it's a risk because 1) he might create a weird atmosphere where a kid earns SO MUCH that it creates fights/complaints 2) he'll need to be literally the best GK out there in order for someone to give him the same wage or, which is most likely, give him even higher at the next club. Its 12mln/season after taxes! Ffs, future club might need to offer him 15 abroad (or 7.5 as they say in Italy), which really, really insane.

It looks to me like we have no fucking clue what we are doing this mercato :D And also Dani Alves' departed really threw a spanner in the works to add to our confusion...not at all excited or hopeful about this mercato. Just over it tbh.

I think its something like this

FW(1) : Schick
W/AM (1-2) : Douglas Costa, bernardeschi, Keita
CM (1) : Nzonzi, Matuidi, Fabinho
FB (1-3) : Danilo, Darmian, De Sciglio, Spinazzola
GK (1) : that guy

If we renew Sandro:

Schick, Bernardeschi, Matuidi, Danilo, De Sciglio, that guy

But if we cant renew Sandro, we got cash to up our investments in these area's to compensate

Schick, Bernardeschi, Costa, Nzonzi, Danilo, Darmian, that guy

If you are judging from what media is saying yes,but i am very sure that Beppe knows what he wants and knows what he is doing.

ps. If we sell Sandro forget this comment.

I think people need to calm down a bit. We arent desperate for major signings. Need to sort out rb/rwb. Keep Sandro and sign Berna &/or Costa + DM/CM who is upgrade over the Leminas and Sturaros.

Alves situation affected our plans. Otherwise we would have gone all out by now for either Costa or Berna. But now we need to buy a starting rightback.

Alves really fucked us. Marotta could have had someone in mind already in march/april. But in march/april we thought he was here for another season and given Alves form and performances there was no need to even consider finding a new rb.

Now all that changed.
