Maybe because Matuidi is somebody that plays to win, and not just for money.

As I said before, even during PSG worst games (against Barca for example) he was amongs the few that didn't give up.

Allegri might want players that are not scared when facing Ronaldo, and the like. Matuidi is not a p*ssy like 90% of PSG's players.

Clearly we have different opinions of the player. All that aside, we are lacking a holding mid to play alongside Pjanic, and Matuidi is clearly not that guy. It would be retarded to spend on a guy forcing us to change formation again. Especially a guy like Matuidi.

Interesting player but we seem to keep 4-2-3-1 so we need more physical player as we already have Pjanic. Kind of player T. Motta is/used to be.

Rabiot is strong since this past season.

He got a lot of muscles. In French League 3 years ago, he would be send to fly on contact, now he's the one percing defenses with pure strength when needed too.

And French League, while still crap compared to big ones, is very physical.

I didn't say it make sense for us. But there were factors that made the transfer coherent. The management complaining about his antics, the fact he had tried to join Bayern before, etc.

The only way that Bonucci goes is if the club decides to cash in on him, which doesn't seem likely. He won't force a transfer.

Matuidi is versatile tho. In 3 years, he played DM, LM, OM, even RM, and LB a few times when needed because of other players injuries. And also in attack.

PSG played a lot in 4-3-3, and it happened Emery played him in the offensive three. And he still did well. Even against Arsenal.

I'm sad he's that underrated.

Indeed. Our management strategy to buy smart, look for mercato opportunities and if a great deal came for one of our players sell them has clearly worked and allowed us to be back in the elite.

Beppe and co have a done a fantastic job rebuilding this team. Thats undeniable. However I think most of us are hoping for the next step now that we are back. I mean, Juve pre calciopoli was signing big names every summer and we rarely sold our top players.

Should the management change this successful strategy? I personally think it's time to take a more risky approach and be aggressive in the market. Andrea should call his banker buddies, get a couple of lines of credit and buy big.

The revenues will come later and so more success.

Still can play 3 years fully.

I don't know a lot of 30yo players that can run like mad even after 90 minutes.

He's like Zlatan, very professional. First to arrive at training ground, last to leave. Doesn't smoke, doesn't drink.

Verratti is more limited if your only worry is his stamina. Verratti is younger but smoke for example. And look at their past seasons to see if that makes a difference (hint: Matuidi almost never injured, Verratti was injured a lot)
