Offense is the best defense in this day and age. We already have players in our squad who can take Bonucci's place.

Would rather spend that Bonucci money on creative and offensive players.
Yes but we shouldn't have to keep selling our best players each season to plug other gaps creating new ones. This is the difference between a good CL side and a winning CL side. What is the point of all this money talk when we still sell our assets each summer

I know we won't agree because we rate Bonucci differently. I'd happily let him go if that means we're getting better players in other positions.

lets be honest here, caldara or even rugani are not primed to compete in the CL
Rugani deserves a run. If Verane was winning CL at 23 I don't see why Rugani can't. With this lack of playing time we forget how good he is. Bonucci is the only defender in the world who cant make an assist 35 yards from his own goal though.

Elaborate? All that depth will be very expensive.

Not much to elaborate. If we sell Bonucci and cover off all our depth/promising talents needs then we can blow our entire budget on a few top level players.

If we sold Bonucci, and that freed up funds for a mega bid on Verratti or Mbappe then Beppe could see it as worth it. The guys clinical in his decision making, not sentimental.

As I say, I'm not supporting this, the idea makes me uncomfortable. Unfortunately I can see the logic in it, especially if Bonucci wants out.

Rugani is only a year younger than Marquinhos people.

So a year makes difference who is ready?

* In before Marquinhos has played more games. Well how can Rugani get more games if he is on bench, eventually Rugani will have to be put into this team if we want to make the most of him, otherwise in 2 years time he is just a 25 year old bench warmer.

EDIT: Rugani is born same year as Marquinhos just checked.

this is what i dont get, with all the money we've made in the CL in recent years plus all the other strides in revenue why are we still talking about freeing funds up? selling assets to plug the other gaps. We aren't fixing shit, fixing one problem and creating another thats all
