I prefer him in a #10 too, but fact is he has been used as a RW or LW A LOT.

RW: 67 Games Played, 24 goals, 23 assists (~35% of the time)
LW: 42 Games Played, 17 goals, 14 assists (~22% of the time)
CAM: 65 Games Played, 17 goals, 26 assists (~34% of the time)
CM: 19 Games Played, 6 goals, and 13 assists (~10% of the time)

Meaning he's played as a winger ~56% of the time. And on the right, he's generally more productive there too.

The most important conclusion to draw here is that regardless of the position, he is effective.

People don't like him on the wing because he's not pacey. But you know who else isn't pacey? Mandzukic.
Thanks for the info, he does have great stats in this position. problem is, he won't offer even half of the defensive contribution we get from cuadrado... cuads is a key player in our formation mainly because of his tracking back.

With his versatility this guy is perfect for Juventus, especially now with 4231.

If he was smart he would come here.

The problem is that by this logic..we will never find someone else to play for Mandz or Cuads. And i think is worth to try and find some prospects who can play good and learn to put the effort needed. It should not be impossible as some portrait.

Pjanic for example. The guy didnt know what was a tackle when he arrived here and look at him now. With some effort from the player and proper guidance, things can be done.

We will.. Sanchez and Willian are perfect for that.
But you do have a point.. and while Pjanic made a step up to come here, and was up for the challenge, James will arrive as a RM reject, so maybe his defending motivation won't be too high.. but that's just speculation, I just hope we get more cover for our starters, cuz we've got a great unit here.

IMO Sanchez will be very tough as he seems to want chelsea?. But who knows.

About James, i think it will be the contrary. Players that come from a turbulent spell like him, or players who are simply fed up with their team like Tevez, suddenly find themselves in a team like Juve, who are a very united bunch, with a great coach, great infraestructure and an efficient BoD behind them. Suddenly they feel important again and can concentrate on their football. Is like having a new beggining to try to shake off that last experience. They come spirited and regain their will to give their all.

We will need to go for accesible players then, since buying all those 4 wingers but with WC status would be IMO too hardcore moneywise. It would be too much IMO

For a cuadrado sub, we can go for Schick. He has great end product, great left foot, is tall as hell and can dribble (something that people liked to crtiticize from Berardi)....and most importantly.. he could be accesible without breaking the bank too much.

On Manzuckic side we already have Pjaca, remember. We need to use him and make him adapt his game to our needs.

What we dont have is a Dybala sub... but if we buy a playmaker midfielder like Goretzka...we can use Pjanic in the hole and play a midfield of Goretzcka-Khedira/Marchisio/Mandragora, for games that we want to rest dybala. Easily.

For strikers, when we want to rest Higuain, we start Pjaca as LW, and Mandzukic as lone striker. Or we simply rest both and use Kean.

The rest of the budget could go to patch holes in defence if needed and thats it mane.

An accesible mercato without having to pay gazillions.
Agree. But i don't think we really need schick. If we get 2 wingers (let's say Bernardo Silva and Keita let's say for example) we would have a starting lineup of

Silva Dybala Mandzukic
------Higuain

If we want to rest higuain we should start mandzukic as number 9 and Keita/Pjaca as LW. (Pjaca will need a lot of time to recover from injury)

Silva Dybala Keita/Pjaca
------Mandzukic

If we rest Dybala but not higuain we should just push Silva as AM and start Cuadrado

Cuadrado Silva Mandzukic
----------Higuain

We have so many options with Silva playing both RW/AM and Keita playing LW/RW. Also we could play Kean as Vice-dybala if allegri believes in him.

what does it say @Mark?
Meeting with Sampdoria: Marotta wants to take the attacker immediately and leave him at Genoa for a season.

Samp asks for the loan of Bentacour & help in getting the striker Driussi from River Plate.

:beppe:

seems like a fair deal depending on how much we would pay in addition, not sure about giving them Bentancur though. they have Praet and Bruno Fernandes, 2 young CMs of their own, so i dont see him playing much. they can have Driussi dont care

How much is sanchez current wage compared to our top players?

I'd say it's worth it if we have to allocate all our CL income money (120+ million if we get to final) for sanchez.

World class, hardworking, can play anywhere on the front four of 442/4231.

We would be better to have him alone than lemar+silva/bernadeschi/keita/anderson/sthick/whatever.
