I think he can bench Mandzukic if he does some defensive work as well (didnt notice anything about his defensive work)
As for Lemar attacking wise he can defensive wise Im not sure about it

No thanks
Lemar appears to be a good defensive player statistically
Out of wingers, wide attacking midfielders:
There are 100 players who have played >15 games in that position
He ranks this year:
Tackles - #29
Tackles Attempted - #22
Fouled - #33
Clearances - #63
Passes Blocked - #21
Crosses Blocked - #30
He didn't block any shots. But 38 of the players in the sample have blocked no shots.
FIFA 17 for what its worth gives him defensive stats of a wingback.
Quotes:
"The youngster knows how to strike the ball from distance and how to set it up for the colleagues. His dribbling skills and his pace unsettle the opposition’s defense. A player who is capable of playing in almost every midfield position is setting some sky high expectations from the fans. He has got a tricky left foot and is capable of scoring the goals from direct free-kicks as well."
"Where I find Lemar most exciting though is whenever Monaco transition into counter attacks. Because of how central his positioning is, when Monaco want to turn it loose, Lemar can become part of the action. He has the technical ability to make the difficult passes that really open up an unorganized opposition and even when he’s not directly involved, he occupies the correct spaces so that he can receive the ball and keep the counter going."
""He can play in any position apart from centre-forward," said former Monaco defender Eric Di Meco. "He's good on the flank or behind the attacker, and he's a strong runner."
