With Bonucci and Marchisio sold. :p
Marchisio vs Strootman is quite funny actually..
Marchisio and Strootman are both injury prone
When both on top form Marchisio is definitely the better player but if you take overall performance and not just their peaks Id say Strootman has the edge
Marchisio has been a box to box who was reveresed into a playmaker in front of the defense while Strootman is not that far in terms of position
Marchisio has his ghostish performances
Strootman is more injury prone but when he plays he can provide some great passes and great link ups and thats why I wanted him in the first place as this is something we lack!
Signing Strootman should lead to a 4-2-3-1 formation with Strootman&Pjanic but it could actually mean 4-3-3 as well as I dont think we bought Matuidi to be a sub..
4-3-3 formation with Strootman Pjanic Matuidi could actually work very well as Matuidi is a hard worker Pjanic is the orchester and Strootman to provide great link ups between defense and mid and mid and attack..
Dybala Higuain D.Costa will probably be the starting 3 unless Bernardeschi shows some great performances that couldnt be ignored
Mandzukic will start at first but I expect D.Costa to bench him and later maybe Bernardeschi as well
As for Higuain - Despite his goal I do not like the player he has become.
At Napoli he was a pure hitman a real killer give him the ball and he`ll score from anywhere + He would dribble whenever needed
Here he became slower and heavier and usually loses when he dribbles.. You can also see it in the first half of the season vs the second half as the first half he had the Napoli effect therefore scoring great goals like the one vs Roma
Second half yes he still scored but was much heavier and it was shown against Real and I can say vs Monaco as well (despite the fact he scored IIRC)

im not so sure. never rated him as highly as Pjanic or Nainggolan, and with the injuries he declined quite a bit. i would take Sami and Blaise over him currently, Marchisio or Pjanic not to even mention. Brozovic sounds much more exciting
I honestly think Khedira could only tie Strootman's shoes. Marchisio is better when he's fit & on top form, which is funny imo, as he was on that level for less than 2 full seasons. Can't be compared with Pjanic or Radja.

Strootman is a totally different player compared to what we have here. He'd surely add something very unique. Like I said, my only concert would be his injuries, as he literally missed 3 entire seasons. He was fit the entire last season, though, and he was quite great for them.

I don't think it's going to happen but Strootman - Pjanic - Matuidi would be a great trio to have.

I reckon we already have a record number of left footed players in the squad (Chiellini, Dybala, Costa, Sandro, Asamoah, Bernardeschi, Matuidi). Strootman would be another. For that reason alone we should get him.

maybe Keita next season then?
Keita was never really our first option and I think we will hold out till the last day of mercato. If Schick seems impossible or he himself has decided he no longer wants Juve then we will be back in for Keita. So these contacts are to convince him that we still want him.

Negotiations for schick will be equally difficult, but i think were relying on schick to do the talking, if he pushes then samp will have to sell, for a reasonable amount. They are playing hard balls as well and just like Lazio trying to hold out as long as possible.

With Bonucci and Marchisio sold. :p
:D

and with right back options like de sciglio (a milan reject), lichtsteiner (4-5 years passed since he peaked), barzagli (goat cb, not a natural rb, and almost in his 40's) and maybe spinazzola (right footed, but never played on the right).

imagine this attack with bonucci, vidal and dani alves. too bad we too often fail to properly replace our outgoing class players.

Did Schick get a heart transplant?

Sampdoria has asked Juventus to make a new offer today to see if Marotta & Paratici really are seriously interested in Schick. (Sky)
