What a bizarre transfer summer. The biggest transfer in football history and it all happened in one week.

I think the Pogba saga really influenced clubs on how to approach transfers.

Now we're linked with all PSG players  because they signed Neymar. So Rabiot, Di Maria, Matuidi and Verratti. Because :gsol: PSG needs to sell now :gsol:

Out all those names I can only see our interest in Matuidi. We probably want Rabiot too but that looks very unlikely.

Di Maria would be our target only if we sell Dybala imo.

Oh and Tuttosport is linking us with Kovacic.

yes, i can deny that. how the f*ck can you even consider making such a statement with just one season of "semi-pro" football under his belly?
it is the french league after all and he had the benefit of nobody really taking him serious in the first season. i mean even we underestimated him and let him fricking get the ball in our 5 yard box. would you let messi get the ball there ? probably not, but our defenders were lazy enough to let him roam freely.

there are so many young players that have good first pro seasons and then they get figured out by the opponents and do not benefit from being the unknown/underdog that is not watched careful enough and they fail to do much more.
His stats are ok but they are nowhere near messi or ronaldo. i do not expect him to put up similar numbers but to even think about calling him the real deal i would need more statistics from his last 3 years. i would expect him to beast the youth teams if he was "the real deal" and by that i mean more than only 0.5 goals per game on youth matches.
Its not like he only scored goals i the liga. He tore man City apart, and even gave our defence a hard time - When the rest of the team was overmatched!

I dont recall anyone at that age being dominant. And he seems like a decent kid who has his feets on the ground.

So Kean is a bigger talent Cause He broke every record at youth level?

Mbappe stats are okay? 44 games 26 goals and 14 assist!! It absolute fantastic stats for a 18 year old! Compare Ronaldo and Messi stats When they were 18 years old!

And even if he never reaches those two, He can still be the Real deal! Wouldnt you Call : Neymar, Hazard, Robben, Dybala etc. The Real deal? They Will never be close to their stats!!

Man City is hardly a defensive fortress with them conceding 39 times in 38 premier league matches. so they basically give everybody a goal for free.
Yes, he gave our defence problems, but our defence is not what it used to be. i can understand barzagli having trouble keeping up with the pace of mbappe, but we can not really proud ourselves to be defensively astute if we allow enemy strikers to get a ball at the 5 yard box. we let mbappe get the ball there without properly marking him and we let several real madrid players get the ball basically not 2 meters away from goal just because a few of our players were to lazy to cover the run of some no-name scrub like cristiano ronaldo.

Don't get me wrong. It is still a skill to sneak into the right position, but it is not like he dribbled our whole defense. he just took advantage of the lazy attitude we showed when covering players running into the box. Even filippo inzaghi would have scored against us, with that attitude.

And he seems like a decent kid who has his feets on the ground.
i guess after attention whore retards like elia or pogba that is something special for some people, but i would not give out medalls for not being a fucking wanna-be gansta rapper.

you are the only one who mentions Kean. For me kean did not achieve anything yet, because it seems that he only took advantage of being a bit more buffed than the other youth 40kg defender fairies dancing around on the pitch.

yes, let's do that please. so how many goals did Ronaldo (the proper one, not the transgender one) score in his first season for PSV Eindhoven in a league that was dominated by AJAX ? i will tell you: Ronaldo scored 30 goals in 33 matches in 1994/95. He was 18 at that time. talking about DOMINATING ;)
as of right now, scoring a few in one season is not a special feat. even some german udinese striker managed to get 27 goals in 32 games in one lucky season.

Do not get me wrong here. I am not to say he can not turn out to be very good, but right now we have one season where he properly scored and no record of him being a very good scorer in the seasons before. how many seasons did he player kind of competitive football ? probably 2 or 3. afaik he did not have such great statistics in the seasons before the last one (not even on youth level), so what is the chance of this being a fluke. we all know that if he had good statistics on the youth level we would already have 20 "next messi" youtube highlight videos of him scoring against helpless youth teams.

And even if he never reaches those two, He can still be the Real deal! Wouldnt you Call : Neymar, Hazard, Robben, Dybala etc. The Real deal? They Will never be close to their stats!!
that really depends on how you define "the real deal". Would i call neymar or robben the real deal ? yes. would i call hazard or dybala the real deal ? no. I can not call somebody like dybala the real deal, when he fails to fricking trap a single ball played to him in a champions league game. if i wanted to watch a striker fail to receive a ball and make the ball jump 5 metres of the ball i would insert a tape of world cup 1994 and watch jürgen klinsmann.

The old Ronaldo is also the worst comparison to make. He is without a doubt the most talented player I have ever seen. (Maradona) is before my time. If that player had tranny ronaldos dicipline , my god a player.

Remember mbappe also tends to playlot of games out wide and not as a attacker.

I understand your arguments. But i just see a Big difference between being a targetman like Bierhoff, who one year hits everything and next cant hit the ball. It was clear hes talent as a footballer was limited. Mbappe, you can see the talent. I really cant see what his weakness are. I would be very surprised if he isnt a top 5 attacker for the next decade.

Haha you are right about Dybala and chl final, that was disgusting to watch. Perhaps your standards for the "real deal" is higher than mine. But saying that Hazard and Dybala arent the Real deal is crazy

I would like to know a list players who you conside worthy to the mytical "real deal" list

And yes hes mentality seems right. I wouldnt even know What i would be doing at his age with that talent and money. Perhaps dead of an overdosis at Ibiza 😉

Di Maria makes no sense when we signed Costa and Bernardeschi. We havent even sold Cuadrado yet. How many wingers do we need?
