Regardless whether Marchisio is on form or not we still need a decent CM. healthy competition and all that and god forbid we get a series of injuries, we're fuck-ed and back to square one again. Just spend you tight ass's. Spend.

You actually want Matuidi? :sergio:

Or you just want him because it's quite obvious he's 'close' to us?
Seeing Marchisio return to his worldclass form changed everything.

Fabinho. Pereira. Nzonzi. Matuidi. Khedira. current Vidal. Can...

Every single CM we were linked with, is gonna get benched by Marchisio. So if we sign a cm to be a great physical option from the bench, i'd prefer it to be one with good experience.

Sure, i'm obviously preferring Nzonzi. But i'm fine with Matuidi.

Marchisio will return, and he'll bench anyone in the process. Anyone.

We need an experienced cm that can come off the bench and be relied upon.

We strengthened the wings quickly which was a priority.

But I get the feeling that we don't have a plan for the rest of the team with no firm targets for RB, CB or CM.

I agree
We did good getting wingers but we lost 2 important players Bon Bon and Alves (as much as I hate this guy..)
Taking Bonucci out will surely weaken our defence
Taking Alves reduce our attacking connection
I don't mind Bonucci leaving but we do need another competent CB cause ours are made of glass.

The fact that we haven't properly replaced Alves since he left early in the mercato is kinda worrying. I don't want to think MdS is our starting RB.

Strenghtening The wings Was good, but we rattled our defensive core with the sales of bonnie and Alves. Replacing those players Will never be easy but we clearly need something. At The very least buy an offensive one like Cancelo.

Alves was never part of any defensive core. He played like 5 good games at right back, the rest were up the wing. Only Bonucci did that but we are ready for this, our CBs are all great.

We majorly strengthened the attack which is great. In midfield, signing Bentancur looks like a good move that may pay off soon. Szceszny is a great addition, best back up keeper in the world for sure, he was huge last season.

Its been a very good mercato. A bunch of talented players that aren't 30+ year old who would be past their prime soon. Bernardeschi, Costa, Szceszny, De Sciglio, Bentancur is great. That's quite a haul. If we hadn't lost Bonucci it would be amazing, 4 of those signings could very well be starters by next season, maybe 3 of them this season already. That's a lot of quality, a lot of youth and a lot of promise.

Juve has been transitioning from the old core. The transition was made great by buying older players that could patch up things right away in the short term. Now we are building a new core. After next summer when some of the oldies retire I expect much less movement than we are seeing. Our younger players (of which we have many) will have been ready to be our new main guys.

Szceszny
Rugani, Caldara
De Sciglio, Alex Sandro, Spinazzola, Lirola
Pjanic, Bentancur, Mandragora, Sturaro (I can only hope...)
Dybala, Bernardeschi, Costa, Orsolini

I'm sure I'm missing some. Plus the older players that are great (Chiellini, Higuain, Marchisio, Khedira, etc.) They've been doing great work.
