I think that's the piece we're missing compared to previous generations. The quality of Italians (of course a large part of them are juventini) has been low and this has given us a smaller margin of players who are both top class and loyal to our colours. Barcelona is running into this problem now with the decline of their golden generation and they're starting to feel the pinch a bit too.

Either we get lucky with guys like Marchisio or sign Talleys who fall in love with us such as Gigi or Giorgio. Hopefully Bernadeschi will be with us for the long haul if he does come.
Correct about the decline of the italian youth prospects that don't reach WC level. IMO what you said is half true as IMO we don't need loyal players as the golden eras of Del Piero, Totti, Stevie G and so on has passed, we need respect the contract and club players which Pogba and Alves failed so hard at...

IMO we don't need to get less pretentious players (italians who won't leave), we need to be more firm and professional.

I agree, although I think this generation coming up could be a positive surprise.

La Juve aveva in pugno Tolisso. A gennaio ve lo raccontavamo con assoluta certezza, come se a giugno niente potesse essere messo in discussione, poi qualcosa è cambiato e alla fine il francese è diventato un giocatore del Bayern Monaco. Quanto detto, però, era verissimo. E lo conferma Marotta al Corriere dello Sport: "Avevamo Tolisso in pugno, era nostro. Poi, dopo il cambio modulo, le sue caratteristiche non si sposavano più con la squadra e abbiamo deciso di abbandonarlo". Con il Bayern che non ha avuto esitazioni. Rimpianti? Lo dirà la stagione. Anche se nessuno, nemmeno in Corso Galileo Ferraris, ha mai messo in dubbio le qualità del classe '94.
