Would be wonderful (even if the no 30yo brigade will always find something to complain even about him).

But I doubt Juventus will pay him the same salary he has in Madrid.

Or is it not a hint?
200m transfer fee, 23m net wages and a 4-5year contract on those wages like he has in Madrid, for a soon to be 33year old. Totally out of our finacial parameters and a giant risk given his age and the figures involved.

The problem is paying upfront.

But marketing/merchandising wise, you can make a LOT of money back from such a transfer.

This dude is ultra popular. And will be for years to come, even after he retires, à la Beckham.

He will be 36-37 years old by the time his contract expires. Thats 50m in amortisation and 40m in wages or a yearly cost of 90m. We have a revenue of 400m. Even though that revenue will rise significantly because of Ronaldo, the risk is just to big. What if his form drops or he gets injured after his first year here. You are stuck with a player with no value on a hugh value, meaning other positions on the field will have to be filled by cheap scrubs.

Southampton defender Cedric Soares is a £15million target for Juventus.
The Italian giants are targeting the right-back to replace Manchester City bound Dani Alves.

Speaking about his future earlier thus year, Cedric said: “I’m at Southampton and I’m totally focused here. In the summer we’ll see what happens.

“Southampton have treated me very well until now.

“The philosophy of the club is to let players go at a certain moment. It’s part of football and it’s not just Southampton.”

Can only build a italian core at Juventus if there are enough good italian players available, which isn't the case, except for Rugani and Caldara maybe.

...and Verratti and Insigne.

Rugani
Caldara
Spinazzola
Mandragora
Orsolini

All foundational type talents. Hopefully Bernardeschi gets added to that.
