We can forget about Mbappe

Lemar might be doable, and a great transfer too
Lemar makes a lot of sense. Lemar and Cuadrado would be deadly. Lemar is a good defensive player too.

Dream Mercado
-James
-Lemar
-Fabinho

Result is you have 2 players in each position basically.

CF: Mandzu/Higuain
RW: Cuadrado/James
CAM: Dybala/James
LW: Mandzu/Lemar/James
CDM: Pjanic/Khedira/Marchisio/Fabinho
LB: Sandro/Asamoah
CB: BBC + Rugani + Benatia
RB: Alves/ Lichtsteiner/Fabinho

Back in the days we were winning with 352...so I have no $#@!ing idea what are you trying to point out. We find one good formation and should never change it again? You sound like some Barca coach at the moment.

There is a difference in making the best team and bringing in players that you might not be able to utilize in your current formation. Thats not crazy. You fill your most important needs and I dont see James filling any need that we currently have.

Verratti physically stronger than Khedira? :shifty:
I mean, like if they were doing bench press? Khedira is probably stronger. If someone collides with Khedira it will probably hurt more than colliding with Verratti.

I don't understand what is the application of "strength" on the field. It's not like when you go for a 50/50 ball everyone stops and the two combatants start arm wrestling.

How strong was Marchisio in 2015 when he won every challenge he went into for a full season? I just look at who I think will come away with the ball more often, Verratti or Khedria, and I think it would be Verratti.

The only obvious criticism that can't be refuted is the aerial weakness. But seriously, Khedira is one of the least physical CMs compared to his height that you can find.

Verratti is a midget but is a tenacious pitbull, he is a better tackler then Khedira and is aggressive about anticipating and battling for every inch. So more then makes up for his small stature.

exactly.

Is a combination of aggression, being relentless, making his presence felt in every contested ball. Not only about physical strenght.

Yup.

You see those arguments everywhere physicality is brought up though, simply a too vague term

ofcourse Khedira is more physical, hes stronger, taller has more stamina, probably faster and can contain every offensive midfielder. have you guys wondered why Pjanic is intercepting so many passes and wins so many balls despite being the most un-physical player on the team other than Higgy? whats funny is that someone asks whats the use of strength in football? :wth: Verratti is quicker and is more aggresive, but Verratti is a btb CM who has a DM covering behind him. if we signed Verratti id want us to start him and Pjanic together over Khedira, but he is not more physical than Sami

Honestly I don't like a MF with Verrati-Pjanic. They would need to be baby sitting in aerial duels all the time
yeah, that would be a big weakness, also dont know how they would look when we are caught on a counter attack. but i sure as hell would like to find out

what if Verrattis agent is from the same school as Raiola? :klin:

Top shelf troll. Pjanic intercepts passes and makes tackles because Khedira is standing within 20 metres of him. Pjanic sent Messi face first into the ground because Khedira exists.
