I rather we sign N.G than the much more talented Jadon Sancho.
N.G you get a player that is disciplined and works for the team not thinking the team is part of him rather he part of the team.
Sancho - He loves the ball way too much. Could be great with discipline but who will discipline him? Motta? I dont know if he is the guy that could make Sancho less of a ball hog.
If you notice I didn't mention nico, i mentioned fiorentina. Even if Nico is the smarter choice, dealing with these italian clubs makes the player less attractive.

We experience this almost every summer and yet every summer we come back to feed from the trough of shitty Italian clubs sabotaging us.

At some point we just need to wash our hands of it and buy outside Italy.

that's why next gen is a huge asset, not only to make quick plusvalenza on talented looking youngsters before they turn out to be frauds, but also because we still need to respect the 17+4+4 rule. so we can basically import the talent early and not depend on the provincial neighbors at all

from time to time there might be players we'll need. i'd sign players like pjanic or cambiaso once again, no regrets. and there will be freebies within the league, that's something to keep an eye on. besides these opportunities, we should really ignore the domestic market indeed

Juventus have a firm interest in Jadon Sancho and are exploring the conditions of a deal for the English winger. Juventus are believed to have had talks with the players agents already.
At the start of the window Juventus tried to make a move for the player but did not have the funds. The player is valued at €40m by United. The only issue is the wages of sancho but Juve are hoping that Man utd cover a part of his salary or he takes a wage cut.(@SkySportsNews)

feels like Giuntoli prefers to buy outside of Italy, going back to his days at Napoli. Koopmeiners seems like a specific request. I hope they never deal with Atalanta ever again.

Kind of like what Milan did this mercato. Exclusively signed players from outside this shit league. They were also tired of being fleeced and dealing with these spiteful presidents in Serie A.

I really hope we do the same soon. We say it every year, but we always go back to our Serie A comfort zone and get bled dry or lead down these tedious negotiations every single time.

The longer you wait, the better deal you get. But it can't be a sure starter you are pursuing because it's too big of a gamble. So a cheeky attempt for a good sub on the last few days of the mercato.
Of course, and nothing wrong with that imo. No one can expect a squad of 25 Messis at the end of the day, though being around this forum I know some people will.

Yeah but smarter choices failed before as well. Let hope whatever we get performs.
If its Sancho (I wonder how we pay him with his wages) then good, just hope he performs and not do too much of extra meaningless dribbling but more of an effective type ones.

I agree with the sentiment but the problem always is that when we want to either sell or loan our players, those players often have a preference to keep playing in Serie A. This always ends up meaning we’re have to deal with Italian teams.

However, I think this whole Fiorentina and Atalanta situation has been infuriating. I certainly hope we think long and hard about ever having to deal with these clubs again.

What have Atalanta done wrong?

We've been reading for a long time now that they set their price at €60 million, and would need to find a replacement first.

They signed their replacement. Juve have not matched their asking price.

If anything, I'd have no problems if Atalanta were getting annoyed with Juventus. The price is €60 million and Giuntoli comes with his shitty formulas that dont reach their asking price.

Just because we're used to seeing reports that Juve are asking for €35-40 million for Soule and wont sell for any less, and then sell for €25 million + add-ons, it doesnt mean other clubs that arent run as poorly as we are have to do the same thing.

Well if reports are to be believed, we basically offered them 59m.

And?

Again, if I'm Atalanta, I'm getting annoyed with how embarrassingly cheap Giuntoli is being right now. Here's the price. Either pay it or dont.

I'm jealous of Atalanta's management. if Koopmeiners played for Juve and wanted to sign with Atalanta, he would have already been loaned out for €5 million with an obligation to buy for €40 million with another €5 million in add-ons that will be paid out over the next 5 years.
