McK and 15M for Gonzales - Thats a steep valuation but we apparently want him to leave so again Fiorentina are the winners of this trade but we cant do much better it seems..
It's hard to predict how will Nico Gonzalez perform here, or how will McKennie perform in Fiorentina, but from what we've seen so far, I don't think that Fiorentina are the winners in a 15m+McKennie deal.

1. McKennie's contract expires in 2025. Nico Gonzalez's contract expires in 2028.
2. Nico has better numbers.
3. I saw them both, and imo Nico is by far the superior player. They are the same age btw. Only 4 months difference.

Maybe SES is a rotational player to substitute Milik who can also play wide.

Maybe it could be 45m+ Milk for Koop
Roma offers 15m + SES for Chiesa
McKennie + 15m for Nico Gonzales
Djalo + 25m for Galeno
Caviglia and Facundo Gonzales money (6.5m in total) to pay loan fee for Todibo
No SES belongs on a bonfire!

I'd like to see us put in a cheeky loan bid for Bayern's Zaragoza though.

As I have said many times, I think the management is trying to do too much in this transfer market. Buying and selling that many players puts you in a huge disadvantage from a valuation standpoint.

To be fair, I am fine with most of the signings so far. But I works have kept one of Soule and Chiesa and kept Milik because getting a replacement is going to be hard.

I know Giunroli is trying to give Motta everything he wants but it’s hard to revolutionise a squad to this extent in one transfer window.

With each passing day, I am growing more and more concerned especially given the number of players that are now excluded. We will need 6 signings and at least as many divestments in around 3 weeks and the valuations of the players we are interested in are quite high and the values of the payers we wish to sell Keri’s dropping…..3 weeks ago Chiesa would be a 30m value and more prone are saying 15m etc.

Completely agree.

We're by far late with key Mercato activities and Serie A starts next week.

Meh. Value has nothing to do with the number of players we are selling. Nobody wanted to offer 30 mil for Chiesa and that's the reality. If we'd say Bremer is for sale, multiple teams would come knocking on our door for a bidding war, right away. Quality sells.

Buying so many players is a different story. Getting the exact right player is hard and you can't find 'em all in one window. We'll see how it pans out 'though. Fingers crossed.

the priority list to sell should be:
1. those, who expire next year
2. those, who earn the most
3. those, who are useless
Not trying to say the ones who’s contract is expiring aren’t a priority also but i’d personally first start with those who are completely useless and work my way up towards those that are overpaid and underperforming.

At the end of the day, its all tied to finances. There is a massive cleansing operation going on at the club and this was necessary. Can't fault the club for taking this call when half the squad did not improve and looked dead/unmotivated for the last 3 years. With the exception of Chiesa, some of these players that we're trying to offload have little to no market value.

JJ cannot dicate terms in the mercato. JJ themselves are dependent on moves from other teams so they can find market opportunities.

Teams below JJ who are less financially equipped, look for opportunities late in the mercato and hence the delay.

It's a very bold and risky move but it had to be done at some point.

As far replacing all the outgoing players? Realistically, it's not going to happen. The idea behind getting rid of all these players is to reduce the wage bill and this is where the Next Gen comes into play to fill some of the vacant slots.

In principle, I am in favor of revolutionising the squad - completely especially as you build the team around a coach you have faith in. I would have focussed on making sure Motta has 70-80% of what he needs to do well in this window and then continue to modfiy it over the next few windows. Clearly the midfield was by far our weakest area last year - defense was ok (Danilo and Bremer are still solid players) and attack appeared worse than what it was - Allegri never played Chiesa, Vlahovic and Yildiz at the same time which is a shame.

I didn't know much about Motta 6 months ago. But before the mercato started I thought ok - fix the midfield - bring in Luiz and Koop and call it a day. You could have kept Chiesa and Soule and you have a pretty dangerous attack. Todibo is a luxury which is nice to have but you need to sell a lot especially if you say Chiesa is no longer part of the project. I would have tried to extend Chiesa for a year.

Sure, its not perfect but at the moment we have only Weah as a recognized winger. Yildiz is not really an attacking winger in the classical sense - he only played in that position for Turkey. Whether you play 433 or 4231 - you need to have 4 players in the squad who can play on the wing. While we can say that Defense is not complete - its competitive to play right now. Same goes for the midfield. Definately not the case for the forwards. We have only Weah, Yildiz and Vlahovic and that is not a great position to be in with the season starting in 2 weeks.

11 days till the start of the league, we are lacking like 3 starters and any dept on the wings.
Yep. With the squad so far, I figure the starting 11 is likely to be: Di Gregorio, Gatti, Danilo, Bremer, Cambiaso, Luiz, Thuram, Locatelli/Fagioli, Weah, Yildiz, Vlahovic. Cabal is the only real sub for the defence outside of next gen, One of Loca/Fagioli plus Adzic (who I think is the closes next gen ready for the first team) plus an injured Miretti - and ZERO subs for the forwards who are not next gen.

You guys know what's incoming. Right?

Panic buys?

Maybe.

Real solutions, quality as the only criteria and top players?

No, no and no.

It will be our ultimate solution that does not solve anything.

Oh, yeah.

The good old 352.

You're welcome.

Bloody hell - so our attacking mids - Miretti and Adzic both injured. Need to rely on either Loca or Fagioli in that role now. Aish. This squad will suffer with an injury crisis with all the games we are to play this year. I am quite worried about our mercato now.

This is worrying:
Bremer, Gatti, Locatelli, Danilo, Vlahovic, Yildiz, Thuram, Fagioli, Weah, Pinsoglio, Douglas Luiz, Cambiaso, Di Gregorio, Cabal, Perin, Sekulov.
Thats our whole squad for todays game. 16 players... Pinsoglio beign one of them
