If there is anything I've learned is that we should not sign players for depth or brought to sit on the bench anymore. Sign players if they make the team better/compete for starting position because if you don't then you end up with 10 players that you desperatly want to sell. The good thing is that so far this summer Giuntoli has only signed players that will fight for starting place.

Assuming we are playing with wingers(RW and LW) this season, let’s imagine we swap Chiesa for SeS and a bit of cash, that would leave us with another benchwarmer on high wages while we still would need to look and invest in two other starting quality wingers which will undoubtedly not be cheap, this while Koopmeiners is still a target and will cost us a fortune…

This swap would make very little sense to me unless Roma still offers us something close to €20M on top of swapping ElShaarawy who is worthless, which i doubt will happen.

I think Motta played together with ElShaarawy in the italian NT right? Should know by now that he is limited and long past it while asking for way more wages than your average backups, i genuinely hope the club is not even willing to listen to such absurd swaps as we already have our fair share of overpaid mediocrity, no need to add on top of it.
