This is the problem when you try and revolutionize a squad in one transfer window. You end up selling the players you don’t want below market value and pay above market value for the ones you want.
Cudos if Giuntoli can pull it off but it is extremely risky.

We know that Todibo and Koopmeiners are the immediate priority but looking at the squad, the biggest hole right now are the wings and forwards. By the sounds of it that will happen right at the end of the window…. And that makes me worry.

Look at the players who are either sold (or left) or where we are trying to find buyers:
Szczesny, De Sciglio, Ruagani, Huijsen, Sandro, Rabiot, Arthur, Barrenechea, Soule, Chiesa, Milik. That would be a strong mid table Serie A team right there. Then you can also add: Caviglia, Kean, Kostic, Kaio Jorge, McKennie, Iling Junior, Djalo, Nonge (transferrable), Frabotta, Facundo Gonzalez. That is a WHOPPING 21 PLAYERS! That is almost a complete squad. Of those, 13 were in our first team squad last year.
So far we have brought in 5 players: Di Gregorio, Cabal, Luiz, Thuram, and Adzic. If we exclude the players that are to be excluded this is our squad so far:
GKs (3): Di Gregorio, Perin, Pinsoglio
DEFs (6): Savona*, Danilo, Bremer, Gatti, Cambiaso, Cabal
MIDs ( 6): Luiz, Thuram, Locatelli, Fagioli, Miretti, Adzic*
FWDs: (3): Weah, Yildiz, Vlahovic

That is a squad of 18 including 2 next gen players. Considering the number of games we need to play this season - we would need a squad of at least 24 players. That means we would need at least 6 new players. Koop and Todibo plus 2 wingers and arguably another full back and reserve striker. There are 25 days until the closure of the mercato and 15 days before our first competitive match. Its been almost 2 weeks since we sold Huijsen and Soule` and we have not made another signing. the pace really needs to pick up - need 1-2 signings per week to be complete by the end of the mercato.

He didnt flop, 8 goals and 7 assists in 1500 minutes. But they signed Zieliński, so i guess u could easily half the minutes he got last season and he wont even play that. Doubt he will be happy with that. Anyway its impossible, he was bought by Inter this mercato (after obligatory from loan last year). They will demand at least 35m for him.

he scores a lot, but he's right footed and not as versatile or consistent as koopmeiners
from a financial standpoint such a deal would make sense. we could sell chiesa for a profit and save on those 50+ millions
