Rating the entire leagues mercato?

(Wait til mercato closes in a month)
Definitely not all teams, not newly promoted teams nor underdog clubs . main title contender are still Juve, Inter, Milan, Napoli, Roma, Atalanta and Lazio. The rest are having to rely on free transfers to survive.

I'm not crying about him, but he was the standout player in a relegated team, which is a big achievement if he played well against better opponents every game. Goals, assists, and leading the team despite being surrounded by weaker players.
Can we compare it with other standout players in the relegated teams from the last 5 seasons?
This year Soule had 11G/3A season in 3141 minutes. That's a little better than Pinamonti (25 years old) from the relegated Sassuolo who had 11/1 in 3100 minutes and Candreva (37 years old) with 6G/6A in relegated Salernitana.

In the previous 5 seasons the best players in the relegated teams:
1. Simy (29 years old; Crotone) in 2020-21 had 20G/2A
2. Caputo (31 years old; Empoli) in 2018-19 had 16G/3A
3. Joao Pedro (30 years old; Cagliari) in 2021-22 had 13G/4A
4. Mancosu (31 years old; Lecce) in 2019-20 had 14G/2A
5. Nzola (26 years old; Spezia) in 2022-23 had 13G/2A
6. Junior Mesias (29 years old; Crotone) in 2020-21 had 9G/4A
7. Petagna (25 years old; SPAL) in 2019-20 had 12G/1A
8. Krunic (25 years old; Empoli) in 2018-19 had 5G/7A
9. Aramu (27 years old; Venezia) in 2021-22 had 7G/5A

Soule is (much) younger than all of them, so he gets points for potential, but the theory that being the standout player in a relegated team is some big achievement does not stand IMO, because none of the guys above did something wow after their teams got relegated.

Because we cant afford his salary

- - - Updated - - -

In other news... Romano has reported that Adeyemi's move to Juventus can be considered currently OFF

Borussia Dortmund want to keep Karim and only huge proposal could change the story, while Juve never presented any formal bid.
how can barca afford it? they have even bigger wages on their book than juve

Interesting as Agresti said we did bid for Adeyemi.

Olmo's salary its between 9 and 10M at the moment, I think in Barcelona he will earn arround 12M

At the moment Italy cant afford to compete in salary with the other big leagues, now more than ever with the "Decreto Crescit" been eliminated meaning that now clubs must pay more taxes.

On of the main reasons we are trying to reduce our salary mass and why we are trying to convice players to accept a pay cut in their contracts

How would you rate Serie A mercato on a scale of 1 to 10?(so far)
Inter did the best job, brilliant squad to which they added two players who would start in most serie a teams. Completed those signings half year ago, which means they will integrate them easily.
Then there is Juve with big deals, which seem to be done wisely, if this will click we could have a great season.
Roma is doing pretty well, but they have so many holes in their squad, they still need many transfers.
Napoli, their biggest transfer is the coach, but can he really work together with ADL?
Milan, I think they aren't doing the right moves. I like Morata but he can't be their main striker for the whole season, he always has big dips in form, which last for few months. Pavlovic might be a good defender for them though. The question is can they sign Fofana.

I haven’t checked his wage or Barca’s offer, but in Germany wages are reported gross not net. While in Italy wages are mostly reported net.

So I’m sure we could afford him making 6-7 mil net

We are not offering more than 5M for new players...

Douglas Luiz will earn 5, Koop will earn 4,5M (if he comes), even our supposed offer to Chiesa for renew was less than 5M

If we can sell Arthur and Tek this season that would be a great move for our salary budget

I believe they can be a boost for mid and low table premier league who want to try to break Europeans or to ensure them to stay at EPL

Southampton, Everton, Leicester, Wolves. 25 millions for both and 4-5 m net each(on average) are cheap even for these EPL clubs

Latest rumours saying we are offering McKennie and Kostic to Fiorentina for Nico Gonzales. Juve to offer Atalanta 50m + %age of future sale.

I personally don’t see us getting Nico AND Koop. Nico bid might be tactical for Koop given Atalanta wants Nico
