Adeyemi would be the first move this summer I could not see any sense in. So I will give Giuntoli the benefit of the doubt, hoping it's some negotiation tactic for our real target. Spending 40m+ on an injury prone player who only has some use in a counter attacking setup with space to exploit would be madness.
All the rest of our outgoing and incoming moves I could see the logic there, even though I hope we can still work things out with Chiesa. Probably the only player I thought could be a modern day bandiera for us. Still, even for his situation I could see the reasons for getting rid of him with the whole injury issues and his entourage having a bad influence.

speed still makes a big difference, and in todays game clubs seem to be prioritizing it. You wouldn’t want a younger/cheaper/more explosive Chiesa with more future value? And while he’s had injuries he still hasn’t had to deal with anything as serious as Chiesa that has had a real effect on his game. That said, his injuries are a fair concern.
Anyways, in just over 2,200 minutes he’s had 15 G+A in bundesliga. That’s the same as Soule, except Soule did it in 3,500 minutes. Chiesa at his best had 16 G+A in 2,200 minutes his first year at Juve. I guess my main point is if Adeyemi can’t play neither can the other two.

The things we're doing on the market are very risky. Selling young guns and going for the guys that are not top players but might have potential to become top. We'll see.
I guess the financial situation is dictating this line of steps.
We don't have 70-80 million to cash out for a top player.
Though I don't think Juve fans, management, shareholders and owners will have patience while 2-3 years take us to build the winning team. Because in the way we're operating right now it might just take us that long.

For me, the club has direction for the first time since Allegri’s first stint. So I’m ok with being patient, it’d be unrealistic to expect Motta/Giuntoli to clean up the mess in one summer. I just want to see some progress and an identity starting to form as the season goes on. This is as excited as I’ve been for a season in years.

I agree. I also think it's astute of us to follow the plan of buying older, more established players. Taking chances on youth is a luxury we can't afford because we don't have a strong first eleven. Giuntoli has been working hard to give Motta a good first eleven and it looks like he's going to manage it in one window.
Hopefully as the next crop of next gen emerges we'll be in a more solid place, and also the players will be of higher quality.
Wouldn't want to be going into this season relying on Soule, Iling Jr, Hans, Huijsen and even Barrenechea and Yildiz (two I really rate) all making the step up to become starter quality.
That may have made sense from a financial viewpoint, and let's face it we'd all be interested and excited but it would have been FAR too risky.

What I can't wrap my head around is what our transfer budget is.
There was a good piece in Corriere Dello Sport which basically concluded that our net spend so far is close to zero while saving 10m in gross wages.
If Todibo is a loan + obligation/option - we are looking at a loan fee of 7-10m. If we get Koopmeiners, it will likely be 50+5 or something like that. Galeno is likely to be a loan + option or obligation (if indeed he is the other winger we go for). Adeyemi is going to cost us ~40m ish. So we will be dishing out fees of more than ~110m on those players.
At best we will get 25m for Chiesa, 15m for McNuggets, and ~5-7m each for Kostic and Milik - so around 55m at best - or 60m including Szczesny if we offload him to the middle east. So that is 50m net. From a P&L point of view we will kill it though with all of those plusvulenza and wage savings. I guess we would need to spread out those payments because as of the last financial report we only had cash of EU25m at the end of December - so can we raise more debt? Also have 340m in debt. Chiesa and McKennie are hard to sell at this point.
And presumably we need another striker unless Adeyemi is the only vice Vlahovic. Last season we had Kean and Milik. And we are linked with Bieir too which makes me wonder - what the hell is our budget.

Well usually I agree but on this one its not unfortunately - I really dont want us to sign Adeyemi - Seems like speed is basically all he got. Galeno - Dont know much about him but I have a feeling he is not the answer as well.
I expect a tough season this year - We will be weaker in terms of results due to a change of play. The real effects will be shown in the season after this one - Still to be seen if the effects will be positive or negative.
Lets just hope for the best.
