I haven’t paid any attention to the transfer market during the Euros but I bloody hope that we aren’t linked to any loltalians.

I hope we keep shopping in Ligue 1 after Khepren and Todibo. My ideal young baller target is:

He is one of the smartest signings a top club can make.

Ball-striking, clean wing play, smart touches in central areas with the ability to consistently generate separation for a carry/dribble.

Rumoured price less than 50M, no brainer.

I'm not sold on Todibo
35 million is way to much from him especially for someone who doesn't seem to get good avarege ratings on football sites.
I mean he doesn't break top 50 on whoscored or sofascore , in league 1, lol.
And I know stats aren't everything but it doesn't look good especially for 35 mil.

For reference Calafiori is 21 on sofascore and 22 on whoscored .
I guess that's the difference between 35 and 50 million
I think a saw Todibo at 60 on whoscored.

getting rid of huijsen and overpaying for todibo, only benefiting parties are nice and giuntoli. same with soule and koopmeiners. club are being sabotaged by a charlatan whose only concern is filling his own bucket while the water is still flowing.

sofascore and whoscored stats mean absolutely nothing, litterally. I seen their weekly lineups of best players in different leagues over the seasons, and its allways way way off. So I wouldnt give any credence to those automated generic stats. There are way better analysis sources you can search for. Or just watch the players yourself.

I'm not giving to much credence to those stats but it paints a bad look.
Also you can't compare them head to head, since one plays in the 5th league in Europe while the other plays in the 2nd, by UEFA coeficient.
Anyway let's hope this pans out , but I'm not convinced on him for 35.
If it would have been 20 there would be no problem .
Time will tell since it seems that it's only a matter of time.

I really dont get it?

selvHuijsen for todibo? I see huijsen as the perfect fit for motta. For calafiori okay, but for todibo?

sell soule/chiesa for what? Galeno? Sancho? Sell Italian chiesa or homegrown Soule for one of these two?

if we sold these youngsters for world beaters i could understand - but they are older and not better players. Realt dont get it.

I have a feeling that tuz is rating the defenders by their attacking stats. How else to explain the obsession with Calafiori, or even more, with someone who is allergic to defending but knows how to pass and scores from time to time, like Huijsen?

Tuz deserves Gatti.

Yes you don't get it at all. I understand Calafiori preference because he had an impressive campaign as top 3 CB in Serie A.

But even if Huijsen is a top young CB talent, he is very raw and inconsistent still at his age for demanding position like CB. He is nowhere near a Todibo in his current state after just half season loan in Roma with at times shaky performances.

I'm in the irrational school of thought of fvck money crunching and try to keep all our talents (Yildiz, Soule, Huijsen). But even then you have to correctly assess them for what they are currently and not what you wish them to be or hype them to be.

Todibo was way more hyped then Huijsen when he was at his age, but needed half decade of development and couple different clubs to reach the higher level he has reached now. Where Juve, Man U and other EPL clubs want him as starter.

I seen both players, and Todibo is easily better, that goes without question. Your esteem of him will grow very very fast when you see him in Juve shirt. Not at same level, but close to, how esteem of Saliba grew rapidly for football fans when he left St Ettienne for Arsenal. Todibo is that type of defensive talent.

It's like when managers like pep played midfielders in defence just because they could pass better than the defenders.

Judging by some of the comments, you'd think Huijsen is some superstar performer that has been a mainstay in our defense or something

The guy has not played a minute for us, came of an average loan spell at Roma, but suddenly he's supposed to be a 'perfect fit' for Motta

Anyone that thinks Huijsen will lock down a starting spot or get significant minutes next season if he stayed at Juve needs a reality check.

While it would be nice to have a 'talent' like him on the bench, I don't see the big deal in trading Huijsen for a starter level CB in Todibo.

Besides this guy screams of a Raiola-esque client. Few good games and this guy will be dreaming of playing for another big team in 6 months.

Thing is Huijsen is not ready to start for us, despite what he might think of himself, he had some awkward moments at roma. Todibo however is far more refined than the player he was at barca and is ready for the step up.

I'd like to think we could keep Huijsen but needs must.

I like the look of Pau Curbasi more though, I'd be genuinely upset if he was ours and we had to let him go though.

Mottas style of playing icludes a type like calafiori so ofcouse i judge him by the way i think we are playing.

todibo is now a world beater? Thats why Arsenal Want calafiori and West ham samt todibo. But fine. I dont get it - but maybe im wrong.

explain the soule/Chiesa.. thats my real issue!! Huijsen is not a Big problem for me.

Are you saying Giuntoli is trying to sign/sell players without discussing it with Motta? Even Juan Cabal signing was supposedly requested by Motta to Giuntoli.

not at all?

Just saying i dont g’et why we would sell chiesa / soule to get Sancho? Greenwood i could unsterstand ( i know his off field problems) but he is 10* times the player sancho is. Sancho is slow as fuck. He is a futsal player!

i guarantee he will never succed here. Better keep soule.
