I just don’t get the rush to sell Soule. Chiesa at least makes sense because of his contract and wage requests. But why Soule as well? They would need to replace them if they sell both, so it’s not like that money would be used elsewhere either.

It could be. Calafiori is not a good defender before this season even in Basel. But Motta and his good performance this season increase his value. With experience Huijsen will get better and better .

I agree, selling Huijsen should depend 100% on Calafiori. I’d sell him to fund that move, but if we can’t get him just keep deano because he fits Motta so well with his ability on the ball and to get forward. He’s also two footed and can play on the left. Sell Gatti instead.

I honestly hope they don’t get bullied for Calafiori. The recency bias is crazy. Who was he before Motta got his hands on him? Who’s to say he can’t do something similar with Huijsen? I like and want Calafiori, but 40-50M? That’s wild, Bremer was the best defender in the league and he went for around that.
