i don't care about dybala. dybala is not costing juve 60m transfer and and missed 2 seasons of footbal while collecting wages and is somehow still believed to be this amazing player while not showing anything. i hate the double standard though

i do care that lukaku would be a better cf for juve than vlahovic though
No. He won't. STFU. Go back to tyres and guzzling maple syrup.

Time is limited but we need to somehow drastically perfect this 3-5-2 and pray for no serious injuries to key players from it which will statistically be rather unlikely or otherwise we need to diversify towards other formations and certain personnel changes to bring back an element of surprise and insert some fresh enthusiasm in the squad….

We need to be prepared with a viable Plan B to fall on in case it all goes downhill, which we sadly don’t seem to have yet put much thought into or made any mercatto moves to support it.

Team needs another goal scoring winger or midfielder. Instead squad has 2 backup out-and-out strikers and 2 wide players who aren’t great at scoring goals or play full-back (Kostic and Weah) so playing 352 by default. This formation does not have enough goals to go the distance.

I been saying all summer we need to replace Di Maria. How the hell are we going into a new season without even trying to replace him?

Its hard to think of a Plan B when you dont seem to have clear what even is Plan A

Juventus will try to beat Atalanta to sign Emil Holm. Spezia have already accepted an €8m offer from Atalanta but the deal is not done yet.
The player wants to join juve

We need more than just a replacement. We need a RW - We are linked with Berardi.
Then we would need a CM who can boss. Pogba could have been that guy but after seeing him play on our last game I have some worries. He doesnt look like the Pogba of old even though his pass was the one to open up Illing for his assist.
Should he be the Pogba of old - We would be covered until he gets an injury and we all know how likely it is to happen.
Cambiasso was a good purchase but our right side only has Weah which is probably the reason we are linked with Holm.

To make things short - We need to improve at least 2 or 3 areas to compete for the title.
We could also fire Allegri and get someone else and then see how the players fare under his management (since its unlikely to happen for at least 1 more year, we need reinforcement)

At least 6, 7, imo. This league is piss poor, but to win it we must beat all three of Milan, Inter, and Napoli. We can't do it if we improve only 2-3 areas.
Vlahovic, Rabiot can remain, and possibly this Chiesa and one of Bremer/Danilo. Possibly the keeper too. That's at least 6 new players for the starting XI.

What about the young next gen players?

Woj is good enough for Serie A title
Bremer is good enough
Gatti - He was the revelation of last season so I guess he fits.
Danilo - Fits
A.Sandro - Weak point
Rabiot - Good enough even if I dont like him
Locatelli - Good enough although underperforming at times.
Fagioli - Good talent but we need him to come as a sub he isnt at a starter level IMO
Weah - He seems ok
Cambiasso - He is actually quite good.
Vlahovic - Great player with unfit instructions. We should either replace him or his instructions. Him holding the ball isnt his best characteristic.
Chiesa - Chiesa is obviously good enough (even too good for our current team)
Illing - Extremely talented

Based on this:
CB is a weak point
RWB - We currently have Weah who is ok but he is alone there
RW - We are stacked at LW but we dont have many options on the right.
CM - We need someone who could take the initiative and take us forward while being creative on the process.
CF - Since we have Vlahovic who is a great player I think we need to change the way we play him rather than look for a replacement.

CB - I would love us to upgrade on A.Sandro but right now it seems to me the main problem comes from midfield as I dont think we have a midfielder (but Pogba who is constantly injured and probably cant play at his best) - We could compete with A.Sandro even if we should look to upgrade over him.
RWB - Holm could arrive but its more about depth than quality.
RW - I think we still want Berardi and the reason we didnt do a thing yet is money.
CM - See my response in CB
CF - We have trouble selling Vlahovic so we could either change his instructions (the easy way), or gamble on someone else and send him or loan or whatever (also a solution even if I think the first solution would make us way stronger.
I guess this is the reason Allegri wanted Lukaku

i'll repeat once again, for the umpteenth time: this midfield is thin as fuck. pogba would be the only one who would be able to make things happen, but it will be months before he's ready, and he'll inevitably get injured anyway.

pirlo >>> pjanic >>> locatelli, the downgrade is real.
It is true but its understandable if the other positions get an upgrade (like when we sold Zidane but brought up 3 or 4 players)

Emil #Holm is delaying his decision with Atalanta because deep down he is still waiting for #Juventus
However, even Atalanta cannot close immediately for the Swede, due to the abundance of wingers in their squad.

How much time until the window close?
Since our right side is severely lacking, I expect us to close it on the final day or day earlier. I also expect Berardi to be honest but Sassuolo might stay firm to prove a point.

Must sign - young , affordable and with potential. With him we will have very young and talented LB and RB! Then with CL money one day we can upgrade, but for Seria A it’s more than enough!

Can you give the same analysis of Napoli, last years winner?
  • Alex Meret
  • Giovanni Di Lorenzo
  • Amir Rrahmani
  • Juan Jesus
  • Mathias Olivera
  • Andre Zambo Anguissa
  • Stanislav Lobotka
  • Piotr Zielinski
  • Karat
  • Victor Osimhen
  • Giacomo Raspadori
How many reinforcements do they need to be title contenders?

It seems we have very different standards, definitions, and expectations

If they get Holm (or some other FB/winger) they can switch to a 433 with Weah as a winger or with Pogba behind Vlahovic/Chiesa in a 4312.

But with the way the team is built now Pogba is essential, not ideal considering his durability issues.

My standards are higher but I also need to be realistic with what is achievable under our management.
Wishes are different things though - I`d replace 9 out of 11 players maybe even 10. Reality wise its not going to happen so its not worth talking about it.
