I dont mean to exaggerate, but this is turning out to be the underwhelming JJ summer transfer mercato i can recall.

Heck, even 2006-07 was better. Atleast Bojinov offered a semblance of excitement.

With Buffon, Nedved, Del Piero, Camoranasi and Trezeguet still playing, Deschamps coaching and a new beautiful kit we had alot to still keep us happy.

We also knew that we would eventually come back strong.

Now there is nothing to be excitednir hopeful for. Only a fool would be confident of this management and group of players getting us back to the top.

When you sign players there is always a bit of optimism. Martinez curiously seemed to disappear up his own ass but he was a player at Catania. As was Almiron for Empoli. But playing for a struggling big team is serious pressure, we've seen many players fold at all different big clubs when they move.

We are broke, there is way too many unsellable players, we are out of Europe. Anyone expecting anything major in terms of transfers this season was always going to be disappointed.

Will he ever see the light of day in our stripes on a regular basis?
For a player who's contract will run out next season, Valencia done well to secure a 20% future resale. Time will tell who had the better deal but I'd like to see more of these type of signings.

So… instead of getting a promising young player who has a lot of future we prefer to get a player that will leave us in one year… yeah, that sounds like Juventus to me
