Are we financially more poor than Inter?

- - - Updated - - -

Or were we not interested in Samardzic?
Yes, we’re much worse off financially than inter. Inter have been shrewdly run by Marotta and although they have no owner finding they have a solid business plan and spend what they earn.

Us on the other hand have been run into the financial abyss with high wages, long contracts and penal book value of abysmal players by the mighty Agnelli & Paratici combo. On top of that we have FFP penalties and a reduced revenue stream because of our shady financial behaviour. We literally don’t have a pot to piss in. The management of this club over the last few years to turn a sustainable project into a disaster has been horrendous

Why are they after Balogun if they already have Thuram and Lautaro?
They play a front 2 , you need at least 4 players in that position , right Thuram replaced Dzeko. They need to replace Lukaku and thats were Balogun comes in.

If Correa leaves, they will get another player.

Inter is surviving all these years purely cause Marotta though he made a huge blunder not selling Skrniar to PSG last summer when they had a 60 mil offer tabled. He was so convince Skrniar would stay to be a captain in Inter .

tbh thats better than pretty good, a solid 8 at least, Thuram was a steal and the rest are good deals on paper too.
Classic Marotta really. A good freebie "opportunity", a loan to buy to spread payment, a veteran freebie.

I don't know much about Bisseck but you'll see more often even leading Serie A teams will have to shop in emerging leagues from now on.

This club lives far beyond its means and finances its participation to next Champions League thanks to other clubs. Marotta only uses the loan + obligation to buy formula like a Ponzi scheme.
The day they fail to qualify for the Champions League, they will find themselves purchasing options to pay without having the money. They bought fratesi the Serbian for 27 15 or 25 which potentially makes between 42 and 52 million to pay next year; all this investment in attack and midfield, I think prepares the sale of barella or the Argentine whore.

I think it has a good potential to be Beppsters best mercato for the snakes.

Without European football our mercato should change. This is the infamous transitional year in every sense of the word, the main objectives should be creating a financial healthy environment plus having a group filled with players who could use fighting for the top 3 places without the European games applying pressure on the calendar. Our situation makes me think of Milan’s year when they purposefully went a year without EL in order to not get in problems with the FFP. That benefited them in the long haul

At this point Sandro, Bonucci and Tek have to leave.

If we have to sacrifice someone between Chiesa and Vlahovic the decision is obvious for me. And honestly we should discuss what does the team benefit of having Lukaku a year on loan, because Milik, Kean and Lukaku is quite a lot for a year without Europe. Plus loaning is throwing a bunch of money down the drain while we already did this with Morata and Paredes. If Vlahovic has to be sacrificed I surely wouldn’t go for Lukaku. Either keep Vlahovic or replace him with a striker who we expect to stay for multiple years and with resale value.

The same goes basically for Kessie. I do think that a midfield with Pogba, Rabiot, Loca, Fagioli, Rovella and two of Caviglia/Miretti/Barrenechea is worth trying. It’s as cheap as it gets and we have the luxury of a relatively easy calendar along with not having the Scudetto as main objective.

Id just go for something like this:

Chiesa - Vlahovic - X
Rabiot - Loca - Fagioli
Augusto - Bremer - Danilo - Weah
Perin

Iling - Kean - Soule/Yildiz
Pogba - Rovella - Miretti/Hans
Cambiaso - Gatti - De Winter/Huijsen - X
X
(might use De Winter at RB if we sign that Uruguayan guy)
Its not flashy by any means and far from the standard we had just 3 years ago, but at least with enough young and cheap players who have all the potential. We should focus on signing a good winger and a additional back it seems.

Side note here is that we have two options imo. Either we invest in expensive players for the instants succes formula, or we accept a longer period with these young players. Because building a foundation from just one season is still a relatively short period and without serious investments it might take us a few years before we can try to win the league again.
