Never even so much as seen Weah play a minute of football but for an attacking player his stats of goals and assists seem really poor…

I've seen him as an attacker (never fullback) and he was very poor, absolutely nowhere near Juventus level, even last season's.

I had hoped that with our interest, he'd impressed as fullback given he is good athletically. But the comments from people who have seen him there don't fill me with confidence. Plus seems a risk to spend 15m on a guy who has only played in that position for less than a season.

Seems a bit like a Milan signing of a few years. ago, which is pretty much where we are.

So he can't play RB at all? In whoscored says Lille tried him every position on the right, with gradually moving him further down. And that they even played him as LB.

He played most of last season as an RB or LB in a back four.

It doesn't matter though as I'm sure Allegri is hell bent on the 3-5-2, so Weah will be opposite of Kostic probably.

Weah isn't as bad as some make him out to be. He's not amazing by any means, but a solid player that will drive the ball to the end line with pace.

Obviously he's not the best marker, but just remember how bad Cuads has been the last couple years defensively.

If we are planning to sign him for attacking wing forward role then it makes zero sense. So hopefully its the former if our interest is genuine.

I think the club will try to rebuild the squad at the lowest cost in an effort to replicate the 2011-12 rebuild. I would have never thought that we would be signing a player of Weah’s level, but this is what we can afford given the current situation. I hope it turns out to be a winning bet. There’s still so much to do in terms of restructuring the team, and we certainly need more than just versatile wingers to kick next season off.

How is Timothy Weah? Any Americans who can give their opinion. Plays everywhere LB,RB,RW,LW even some games as a striker, I don't know if that's a strength or a weakness, maby he did not find his best position yet.

He has been linked alot to Juve. So good or bad?

Not as good as his dad obviously.

Never really impressed me tbh, but the US team is not super strong, so he has a place regularly. He's still young and can improve.

Everyone else did it after this post. As with any American, you're going to get a versatile and energetic runner that'll always put up a fight.

Personally, I think I'd rather take a gamble on Scally to play RB.

Better on attack.

He's more of a winger on the right side, good with crosses, okay on defense but would probably struggle a bit as a WB.

I'm not sure if I would call his crossing "good" really. He puts a lot of them in, but they aren't always the most accurate. Passable, but could be better.

Going by national team performances of course.

Adjust your expectations for this summer's market and next season. Why are you guys surprised at names like partey or weah? We have no money. We have no CL. We have allegri as coach. We have gone through another scandal. What exactly is appealing about joining juventus right now?

As long as we don't play 3-5-2 that compels Allegri to make us sit back, I'm calling it progress. We'll never go 4-3-3, it's too attacking but with 4 at the back, Chiesa might not have to defend all game.
