Not only this summer, but next summer too. We need to sell him for ca. 29 million this summer or around 14.5 million next summer in order to avoid minusvalenza. That's not happening. But I fear that even a loan and someone else paying his wages became impossible after this Liverpool season.But putting them out of the squad doesn't mean they simply disappear. They hinder our ability to get that classy CM you've been asking for. That's why the kids play as starters here.
I'm more pessimistic than you are when it comes to Zakaria and McKennie. Both have had shit season and both make too much for lower level teams while they're not good enough to get another chances at top clubs, at least based on recent form/ performances.
We'd need a Moggi to get out of this now.

Zakaria will easily find a new club. He is a good player. In fact wouldn't mind if we kept him.
Mckennie I assume is obligation for Leeds if they stay up? Even if they don't he will have a market imo.
Only one I worry is Arthur, he is a true dead weight. We will be stuck with him until his contract expires. I forsee a Brasil loan of such. Or maybe Lazio loan. Feels like a Sarri player.

Is it worth spending on Pau Torres when Ndicka is free? Both are as good as each other imo, both left footed too.
That's a very weak midfield. Fagioli and Miretti are bench warmers at best. The latter should be loaned so we need a replacement. I'm not overly keen on Verrati but he would walk straight into this midfield.

the issue is that zakaria isn't a great fit for juventus. i have nothing against the guy but especially if allegri stays (which should not happen but jj is kinda unpredictable) zakaria won't play too much and wouldn't want to stay anyway
as for the quarterback, leeds are so terrible that they might easily get relegated. last weekend i checked the table, 5 teams (leeds, everton, leicester, west ham and an other one i can't remember) were within 5 points of each other, that's russian roulette at this point

Tevez+Barzagli+Pirlo combined transfer fee was 9.3m or smth like that. The wages werent crazy either for either of them.
Verratti gonna want at least 8m in wages and PSG prolly will want at least 30m (given their demands for Paredes, a much inferior player). NB: I went until the 2014 season, this is the oldest squad that Real has had. If all the big clubs have an average age of between 25 and 26 there is a reason. Juve must continue on this path if they want to have players in their prime who are hungry for glory, rather than signing players at the end of their life, who are mentally and physically destroyed like Verratti. It's not because Pirlo worked that Verratti will do the same.
Your friend Fagiolli is the best example of a young person who wants to prove rather than take senators with a pompous CV but who shows nothing on the ground like this slug of Paredes.

I get all that. But I wasn't talking about the financial side of it or resale value, those factors I understand the reservations for . But I meant just the outright shitting on top class proven player because he is certain age, while hailing frankly fringe depth young players as saviours.
I like our youth players (as 20 years here of me being excited by all our youngsters should tell you all) and the outsider Rovella.
But it reads as pure insanity to me to say no to SMS or Verratti because of them. They are very far from that level, they should be depth players at best until they show more.
No way in hell I'm saying no on footballing level, to top class midfielders who would start and instantly elevate us, especially after us losing Rabiot, for young mids who are all inferior to the current version of Locatelli, who I find dissapointingly mediocre so far.
I do not want to go into next season as our current options as next seasons midfielders. We will lose Rabiot and that bum Paredes, and who knows if Pogba will ever be fit enough to play more then 20 minute subs appearances currently.
So yeah we urgently need a quality boost in midfield. Games are lost and won in the midfield.
But this is all moot if we don't fire Allegri.
First, we can't play 3-5-2 anymore because it's disgusting to watch and ineffective against big clubs. Second, the question is what formation we move ahead with because we don't have players for effective 4-3-3. Sort that shit out first because last season we moaned that we didn't have backup wingers and now that I see what Allegri does with Chiesa and Di Maria and how many crosses Vlahovic gets, I don't see the point of giving Allegri anything else. I see a lot of players failing under him like Zakaria, Arthur, Paredes, and McKennie when they were supposed to be the solution. No player will work unless we fix our system and commit to some sort of attack mindset. An RB and LB would revolutionise our team, more than any midfielder but only if we change our formation.
