So Roma lose Abraham and get someone better.

Cool.

have ever had a worse summer mercato than this?
yeah plenty. May have not added much, but they also didnt lose much either. I do not miss the summers where we're losing guys like Vidal, prime Pogba, etc.

have ever had a more difficult season than the previous one, with heavier player contracts and worse european outlook?

armchair xperds are fun to read. giuntoli had a literally impossible task, and barring any unpleasant surprises, it's only the rovella deal that is below realistic expectations

great mercato? nah. worst ever? far from it. 5.5 or 6/10 for me, 6.5 if weah exceeds expectations. selling zakaria, probably getting rid of bonucci without having to pay his full salary for the last year, finding a club for arthur that he accepted and where he can actually play, downsizing the wage bill and not weakening the squad significantly is an acceptable mercato.

when you look at the departures and arrivals, it's underwhelming. when you add the shittiest context ever to any mercato, it's a different story

Looking to Roma for example, Aouar and Ndicka for free, Parisi for 10m to Fiorentina, Thuram for free to Inter (while we pay for Milik, to lazy to search the salary differences tho), and the Rovella deal where the finances are quite ugly, I feel that in general there definitely were some opportunities that we didn’t take.

I also don’t want to complain too hard, if Miretti has a breakthrough season and one of Huijsen or Yildiz will have the same it will obviously change the dynamics of the team. That’s really a calculated risk Guintoli and Allegri have to take and in our situation I can only applaud trying the youth.

A extra reinforcement for the right side to close the mercato would be great

i don't think those comparisons make any sense. inda just finished the season with a cl final (90-100m from uefa?), sold players for 100m before starting to buy, roma also finished higher on the table compared to the place they actually deserved, with an el season ahead of them, etc, and both had empty slots in their squad

meanwhile juve lost at least 80m (which is an estimated 150m when you also consider gate receipts, unsold merch, lower sponsorship, etc) due to an undeserved points penalty, had like 40 players on a contract, zero empty slots, still has to offload some duds like pjaca or frabotta, an ffp settlement with uefa to keep an eye on, and so on

these situations are not even comparable. again, this is probably the worst situation before any mercato i can remember, only comparable to the summer of 2006

Funny thing is Parisi hasn't even started for Fiorentina

5.5-6 for Juve is quite horrible imo.

That's how I usually rated our worst mercatos over the past decade.

We surely did great with some sales, though, gotta admit that.

This Mercato is the best you could hope for. We've never had so little leverage probably in the history of the club. Maybe Calciopoli

that's your evaluation and it's all right. i can't remember too many mercati i rated above 7. 2011 with pirlo, vidal & co was a massive 10/10, since that, it's mostly sideways steps for juve, with a slow and steady decline since 2018

Dont judge the mercato yet, Its not over, the management and Allegri still have time to make a stupid move like selling Illing and/or paying 35M for Berardi...

i remember some picture, iirc it portrayed half of the belgian nt with expensive purses in their hands

they didn't seem like a bunch of troublemakers either :snoop:

Haha Cristiano Ronaldo is arguably the best European player ever, and he spent last 20 years walking around with his gucci or LV purse.

Most big name players or wannabe big names had the same fashion sense since Beckham started this trend.

Do it. Btw just a couple days ago di Marzio said they’d turn to holm if Soule or Iling left. Well, Soule looks on his way out, but now he’s saying it depends on Kostic. Too funny.

There's something for Kostic, but not on a permanent basis. In the event that the Serbian were to bid farewell, Juve would turn to Holm. [@DiMarzio]

Only Jj would be able to not find a buyer for a player like Kostic.

Then again, it's just Di Marzio.

#Pogba is ready to return to the pitch for this weekends match against #Bologna but in the background a Saudi Arabian side prepares an improved three year €150m offer for the Frenchmen in the next months, when he’d be fully fit. (@GiovaAlbanese / @tvdellosport )
