Nice read, one is from a year ago the other recently. Older is critital and the newer is praising him. Maybe a bit a Morata type player.

Tim Vickery is a really good journalist for South American football. He suggests he is similar to Firmino in style, same as the journalist in one of your links. He sounds an intelligent and hardworking player (which is encouraging for a young layer who has not played in Europe) but not explosive with pace or dribbling.

Ideally looking at our squad I'd want our backup striker to be different to what we have already so more physical and someone who leads the line rather than coming deep, just to give us a different option. But he sounds like an interesting player at a low price.

i actually liked firmino when he played for hoffenheim. insane defensive contribution for a forward, i would have signed him purely based on stats, without even seeing him play. and he was quite a tidy player too back then. i watched hoffenheim matches to see szalai, hungarian nt striker, and i quite liked firmino, i thought he could have been a nice vidal replacement for the tq position drunkturo played in his last season with us. then klopp bought him for his gegenpress. (not a fan of him in pool though, and he's quite an irritating guy outside of the pitch too.)

if this kaio guy offers similar defensive/pressing skills then we could actually start pressing in the attacking 3rd with him, chiesa and kulu.

He should ideally play one season with the U23 and develop his skills
playing in serie C would be a step backwards in his development. Let him train against Chiellini, MDL, Bonucci, etc and he’ll develop far more, even if he doesn’t play outside of Coppa.

Does he have a EU passport or will he count as a non EU?
I dont think he does. Not like it matters much anyway, we’re not gonna be buying anyone outside Loca lol.
