I would add Sergej on that list, but yeah, I agree.

However, I think we'll end up with Pjanic on loan + one of Locatelli or de Paul.
I think we will end up with just Locatelli.

If Dybala is staying and Chiesa has to play a two midfielder formation is the only possible solution. If we get rid of Ramsey and sign Locatelli we still have 5 mids for 2 positions. We have to sell one more, ideally two, in order to sign a high caliber mid like Pogba/Saul/SMS. I don't see that happening.

And honestly I wouldn't be that mad at it. I think we need an organizer more than anything in midfield.

This team is already 80% different to what Allegri left behind. I think both Dybala and Ronaldo are more likely to stay than leave so it's not the worst thing in the world to see what he can do with a similar team before bigger changes are made.

Donnarumma, Locatelli, Emerson, Belotti - patch the holes we have right now in the team, check out how much of the last two years is terrible coaching and how much is talent and then go with bigger changes next summer when hopefully we have more money.

I have a feeling we'll use Berna in mid with Allegri.

I thought that Allegri was fired because he had wanted an overhaul of the squad. So if we plan on sticking with all the old farts, whatever was the thought process for overhaul in his mind 2 years ago? Admittedly, the midfield is different from what it was at his time.

Probably the same thought process as 2 years ago. The media have shown that they rarely know our plans until the last minute so it is all guesswork.

But we have made a huge loss in the past year so any overhaul will be limited and it could be we have to scrimp on some areas to afford any expensive players.

So one day - Allegri wants Chiellini and Bonucci and then a few days after we say goodbye to Chiellini - I guess reporters just make assumptions based on 2015..

He was fired because the management wanted to go in a different direction in terms of style, particularly after his last season when he seemed tired.
