Llorente saves us 20mil
Vidal was world class, and didnt score goals anymore, so his market value is lower + he wanted out so $#@! him
We refused to overpay for draxler cause schalke kept asking close to 40 mil wich he isnt worth
Coman wanted out so $#@! him, he isnt remotely worth 28 mil so good deal
we arent keeping isla, if we didnt sell, its cause no one wanted him

We want players who give 200% on the field. If they want out, $#@! them sideways
I agree but we should wait until we have a replacement to fuck the sideways.

Hm if only it worked the other way around huh? If only all the players that expressed their desire to play for Juve were simply released to us because their hands were tied
And we get to have them for whatever price we think is fair because the players wanted Juve in specific.

Apparently those Ciro Ferrara and Claudio Ranieri seasons were somehow disqualified from the history of mankind.
those season beginnings were quite promising actually. the 2 ranieri seasons were pleasant surprises after the calciopoli, and we started with 4 wins even with ferrara. that time, i was happy with the team and the results. of course, things went quickly south with ferrara, but that happened around december as far as i remember.

Who did we get for a cut price because they wanted us in specific?

I said we want players for the right price. I didnt say players want us specifically.

Vidal got sold for a fair price, and a player who is a big questionmark got sold aswel. Both wanted out. fair enough

Remember during Moggi's time, Bayern hate dealing with us. How times have changed.
Yeah, calciopoli happened, i wonder who's fault that was

Dude. I'm pissed, but at the same time, this shit is hilarious. Especially the lengths people will go to in order to make it sound like every single move by Marotta is a good one.

I'd imagine it's much the same with certain Arsenal fans defending everything Wenger does because of the Invincible season 12 years ago. :D
This forum has been absolutely appalling recently to read exactly for that. Apparently it's too much to ask for people to just genuinely share their thoughts and react to ongoing events honestly.

They have to act like spineless politicians who have to twist and turn every sentence they say just to appear rosy. Dishonest discussions is the norm lately and it makes for an awful forum.

Posters more occupied with winning childish cheap pts and taking sides over normal discussions . Cronios used to be mocked for such type of approach and thinking but now half the forum are worse then him.

Ok if it just was clowns like dp84 or whatever, no sweat, but saddest shit of all is alot of these posters are fellas I used to look forward to reading any posts of. Now I just skip alltogether, read transfer news or focus on off topic threads, in a football forum...

Sorry for the rant.

Sometimes you have to open the checkbook and pay, not what you think is a fair price, but what the market is demanding.

we should go for eriksen. That guy has juventus written all over. Put 40M on the table and call it a day.

:agree:

Couldn't agree more tbh. I just come here for some updates on transfers, but don't bother getting involved anywhere, as there's simply no point now. Most discussions/arguments are cringeworthy. You'd think most posters are 10 years old.

What, What the $#@! are you gonna do

Hey Boca, give us vadala and calleri. "No".

THen what are you gonna do ?

You say "no tevez, you are staying". And tevez says "$#@! you i'm staying in argentina".

What are you gonna do ??

Vidal ? He wanted to go to bayern specifically. What bidding war ? So teams he doesnt want to go to offer more ? What would that change ? He isnt going to go to Arsenal or city and has less chance to win it then he did back here.

Llorente ? "anything" ? NO ONE OFFERED ANYTHING. He rejected ALL TEAMS WHO DID.

Have you learned nothing with iaquinta, toni and amauri ?
With your attitude it's a wonder we got anything for Tevez. He wanted to leave so that means he's worth 0. We should be glad Boca was gracious enough to loan us some players. A big big club Boca, doing us a favour. Fine, Boca doesn't give us a suitable offer? Fine, let Tevez rot for a year, and fine him out of his salary if he doesn't come to play.

Who cares if Vidal wanted to go to Bayern? You get a proper replacement first. I repeat, YOU GET A PROPER REPLACEMENT FIRST. And you also sort a proper bidding war or wait for Bayern's best offer. Let them wait until deadline day if they don't offer something we want. If not, the fucker stays. But no, we went to fucking Germany to sell him! What a fucking joke.

Llorente's situation is just a joke, you are telling me a very useful if not a starter for most mid table clubs across Italy, England and Spain would not pay even 5 million euro? And if he stays, fine, move on Zaza and keep Llorente, he's the better player anyway. But no, we have to justify the useless 18M Euro oaf.

But no, our hands were tied, we should be grateful papa Marotta made these great moves.

It's funny but I think the point of most of us complaining about this mercato is not that we're going to be an atrocious team... No. We'll probably be a pretty good team, with potential to be an excellent team.

However, we've had a piss-poor mercato due to turning an already great team into a team full of "ifs". If Dybala explodes into a massive star. If Morata can continue to improve and become world class. If Khedira can stay healthy and become the top player he was always supposed to become. If Cuadrado can regain his Fiorentina form. If Pereyra or Sturaro can become a top class mid. If if if if if.

For us to be the great team we were last season, we need a majority of these "ifs" to happen. We sold off guarantees and replaced them potential. And worst of all, we haven't addressed the most pressing need for this team. An attacking mid. It's been identified as a need for over a year, and we've failed to do anything about it.

We gave away Llorente. We sold Vidal because he asked to be sold, with two years left under contract, for a low price, and before we had a found a replacement for him as either CM or AM. We loaned one of our best young prospects or 2 years with an option to buy.

Now we have a weaker midfield, a weaker starting attack. Only along a back 4 are we stronger. And fancy that we might not even be able to play a back 4.

It's the random way we went about this mercato.

Am I saying we'll be terrible this year? Is Baggio? Is Cusp? Is CK? Is JCK? Are any of us? I don't think so. We're saying that our starting XI is significantly worse as things stand and it would take all those "ifs" mentioned above going our way for that to change. We might have an amazing season, win the CL, highly unlikely, but Dybala might turn into a world class strike a la Aguero. Morata might turn into Cavani (from his Napoli years), Sandro might be the best fullback in Serie A since Maldini, Pereyra might somehow explode into a lethal AM, Khedira may come back from this injury and go beast mode in the midfield.... These things could all happen. But they aren't fucking likely, and it looks right now like we're significantly worse, and haven't addressed our biggest need.

Time will tell.

If hear another sentence saying the society or the laughably Harry Potter level shitness of team pathetic, I will e-strangle anyone online.

It passed the stage of a joke eons ago and has entrenched the whole forum to God awful deep level I never seen it succumb to before.

I say this with out most love. Fuqdatnoise, this is not a political rally or audition to remake of mean girls. Stop for a second, ask yourself why am I doing this, and please just grow up out of this high-school shit and be your own man.

I rather we dont sign anyone and save that 40m...
Coman left we need attacker and someone for am
Zlatan could be our man with Dybala dropping back...
If we miss out on Draxler then Zlatan should be considered even if he is a one year guy
