I would actually love Gundogan here, even though his long injury worries me a bit about a potential signing. He's just a majestical CM when in form. He can glide between lines and get the ball high up the pitch, receiving the ball from the base.

Also, when he had to fill in as CAM when Gotze was injured/absent, he was algo magnificent. Really a world class player who can create things. He would give us the opportunity to play in a rather lopsided 4-3-3 (Cuadrado being open on the right side, Dybala starting from the left but on a more central role and Pogba in the Ronaldinho-esque role he had last year, being more wide than any other CM we had on the pitch), and he could also provide the option of turning to a 4-3-1-2, playing as CAM while we give entrance to another CM when we need to.

Declared to look for TQ 5 months ago. Ended up signin every position except TQ :beppe:
pretty weird, isn't it?

our last month or so:
- mercato is over
- vidal is leaving
- we're not getting a vidal replacement, a tq is a priority
- we're getting a backup for evra
- no, we're not, we buy the most expensive defender of the last 10 years (not that i mind btw, alex sandro is a great addition)
- marchisio gets injured for 2 games; not a big deal, but we realize that we need a central midfielder. not that it wasn't obvious since vidal left...
- we're getting draxler.
- no, we're not.
- we'll get a proper tq, says beppe. we have the funds, we need some quality.
- out of the blue: cuadrado. he's neither a tq, nor a cm, we don't play with wingers, he doesn't fit allegri's favorite 4-3-1-2, but a market opportunity presented itself.
- montolivo, lemina, wtf
- zaza leaving, llorente staying
- we won't sign a tq, a cm is our priority
- ???????

i really admire what beppe has done during the last couple of years with the squad. he built a scudetto winning, cl contender team using restricted resources. but it looks he lost focus this summer. i don't know whether it's down to some communication issues with allegri or to anything else, but it's easy to see that compared to the last 4 seasons, our midfield is a mess right now.

still a week to go, do your magic, bepps.

Pre-Vidal: "mercato is over, maybe we'll sign a trequartista if an opportunity arises".

Post-Vidal: "dollar dollar bills y'all, I'm signing everyone but a trequartista".

Guys, what's the deal with the limit of non EU signings? I knew you can't sign more than 2 per season but we bought Alex Sandro and according to transfermarkt.de, Neto is non-EU too. We also bought Pereyra, or does he count for last season? Loan deals do count?

Hi guys, this is my first post ever in here! Took me a couple of days to scroll to +1000 pages, but finally i'm ready to post :drill:

Now that Cuadrado has arrived what is set to happen with shiet-player no. 1, Isla? Also what about De Ceglie? Have you seen anything that indicates some interest in them?
