Watched Alex Teixeira many-many times and he actually looks a lot like Mchitaryan, who had played on his position before at Shakhtar. He is more an attacker than a fantasista. Great speed and touch, finishing not so good (believe it or not but Mchitaryan was a great finisher before moving to BD) and really nothing special when talking about fantasy/assists. I don't really sure he will suit us as AM, in Shaktar he plays more like a deep SS.
Good critique, btw.

Too weak :D I was thinking more of another former Santos player who ate up italian defences last season ;)
Oh, that guy. I remember he made Sciglio look like a clown and poor Barzagli.

Romeo Agresti says Sandro deal is in the final stages and Juve are preparing new offer for Draxler.

Gazzetta also speak of a new offer for Draxler.
Mandzukic, Dybala, Khedira, Alex Sandro and Draxler/Teixeira... If this is what we get this mercato although I'm not one of the haters, i'll stop doubting Marotta in future mercatos.

Zaza is not worth mentioning.

He didnt have a good game tonight, but still created two clear chances for Keita and 1 for Klose. Defenitely kind of player we need.

Yeah it is, missed that. That explains checking his clips or reading the stats, its the stats of a support forward more then a creator. He was more or less dribbling to shoot in final third or coming in the 2nd wave every time, instead of creating any plays.

I thought you said Italian "defense", not "defenses" so i figured you were talking about the time Brazil played Italy and Neymar put on a show  My bad
LOL  Neymar, I saw him play as a 17 year old and knew instantly he would become a superstar, and sadly also the very same time that there is no way he will ever come to Juve.

I used to love watching Santos back in the Diego/Robinho, Alex, Oliveira, Leo, Elano etc days. And later the Neymar, Sandro, Danilo, Ganso days. Those days, especially the first generation, the swedish tv actually showed Brazilian league and it was good. They still do it now, but it sucks...

You are a fan of Juve since when? Yesterday? The thing of Marotta not going fancy and fairy doesn't make him doubtful

Funny how some people were still doubting his talent. Any bastard with half a knowledge of Football could see he was so far ahead everybody else in the continent. He almost came to Juve at one point, it was the Libertadores that changed everything and made him so sought after. Before he was just another promising South American, at least to European eyes. We had our chance.

That Robinho/Diego/Elano Santos was probably the last good Brazilian team, it was nowhere close to Parmalat's Palmeiras (Rivaldo, Cafú, Edmundo, Roberto Carlos, etc...) but it had a good system. Yeah, it sucks for several reasons. But one of them is that every decent promising player is taken away before they even reach 20 yo. So the league gets the leftovers. Average to below average fuckers with half a talent.

No, since 94', after the WC to be exact. And no, nothing to do with flair and fancy (btw people should just stop using this, it's retarded) but that if he manages to get one of the best young fullbacks in the world plus either a promising youngster in Draxler or a competent forward in Teixeira he would have done a hell of a job since Vidal left. I doubted him when names like Vazquez came up.
