Dybala and Mandzu is the best any non oil club could do to replace Tevez.
Khediera (if he can stay healthy) is an upgrade over a 36 year old Pirlo.
Still looking for a 10 to replace Vidal.
The average age was lowered by a lot and quality was still brought in. As of now its a 6.5/10 imo if a quality treq comes then its an 8 or 9 depending on who it is.
Hey, at this point Lamela would be an awesome signing when you consider the possible/potential alternatives. He is better than a washed up money grubbing has been in Sneijder (who would have been awesome 3-4 years ago; and no, not every case turns into a Pirlo FFS), a never was like Diamanti (who isn't and never will be good enough to start for us; I don't need to see him play in our shirt to realize that), or duds/rejects like Hernanes, Guarin, and Lavezzi.
Lamela is only 23. The talent is obviously there. The environment @ Roma was/is too volatile and they aren't as professional a club as we are I'd like to think. London might not be his calling, so we might get to see his true ability here. The kid was really good @ River.
I was always a fan of him, its just with all the names we have been linked to, u feel empty inside. But hey like u said id much rather a player like lamela than the shitty mediocre names popping up

He's okay but not great. Well, if I had to choose between not signing an AM (or Diamanti-like players) or getting Lamela, I'd probably pick the latter.
Also, since he's not Chilean he probably won't stab us in the back.
