He has never said that Gotze or Draxler were our objectives for the summer and as far as I recall media started to make connection with Gotze since we were about to sell Vidal to Bayern. If he mentions certain player and in vast majority of cases it is after journalists start to push that question around, that doesnt neccessarily mean we have indentifed that player as our priority for the summer. Now expectedly, after months of supposed chase for the player and media fueling the expectations ( there is basically nothing to write about during the summer, sports journalism is reduced to transfer gossips by self proclaimed transfer gurus) fans will feel cheated. Another summer where we didnt bag WC signing. Kinda sounds familiar.

I would agree we could use additional help in the CM and an AM. Does anyone trust Khedira to stay healthy? We may need two CM to replace both Pirlo and Vidal. And I think Isla should stay. He can be useful for those Serie A games against the bottom half of the table when we want to rest Lichtsteiner or someone else.
Any word on Llorente going? Why are we waiting to pull the trigger on that?
It is obvious that we need a player in the starting line, our head tactician said it and even Marotta said it. So if they bring someone who is not worthy of that position then it is more than enough reason not to trust them regardless of what they have done in the past 4 years. I am not taking credit at all to their work but when the team reaches a certain point ahead of schedule because of good work then you don't have to continue on the same pattern and it is more important to change the way you work to comply with what you have achieved.
